I'd like to start off with 1 note: This is not a rage thread, nor should it become one.
I was thinking. What would you guys/girls consider "Core Mechanics" as it is obvious all of us have different opinions about what exactly the "Core Mechanics" of Guild Wars 2 are.
Situation: You have to pick which mechanic Anet will focus on next (Login issues are ALL fixed)
You have a 100 devs at your command, and are free to split them up to tasks at your leisure. What would it be? I would probably have about half of them working on the trading post, and a quarter of them working on "class balance", while the others are out playing, testing for bugs, finding new ways to enhance the community, and be ready to switch when a new problem arises.
Also, what do you consider the "Core Mechanics", the things you instantly think of when someone says MMORPG. For me, the latter would be the community, are we able to group up with people, friends, make new friends and stuff like that!
tl;dr: 1) 100 devs, split them up to tasks fixing things in GW2
2) what do you think when you hear MMORPG in terms of mechanics.
P.S. coz we're all lazy, anything goes for mechanics, as long as its not "Goldshire on a certain wow realm"
