can anyone explain to me why we keep having monthly content additions and hardly any bug fixes? on top of that they felt the need to add yet another currency tot he game which isn't needed. the new acievements are also a joke as they reward players for things they should already be doing such as ressing and dodging. crafting i can see being iffy but having that as a daily is the same as wvw in the monthly pve stuff which they wont change. also more stuff added to the gem store, are they that desparate for cash?
Dailies were ALWAYS meant to be rewards for stuff you should already be doing. Their purpose was to make the first hour of gameplay more profitable (xp wise) so that people who didn't have as much time to play could progress a little faster. To some extent, the new dailies now serve as a much better guide for new players for how the game should be played. They teach them that dodging is important, to pay attention and revive each other, encourage them to at least look at crafting, etc.

Hardly any bug fixes? Orr says "hello". There have been a lot of bug fixes made...many of them left out of the patch notes (like when they fixed the broken Ranger "Opening Strikes" trait beginning of Dec). The current patch has been more about "fixing/revisiting/revising existing content" than adding new content...

Yes, there are still events that break. The "Iron Marches" map is still a write-off - there's more broken stuff in there than just about anywhere else (that map was definitely not ready for release, and in reality still isn't up to "release quality"). But even there it's been slowly progressing (I actually got to *see* the Bria events for the first time since release last week...they've been broken every other time I've been through there, and now I've seen/done those about 3-4 times). But there's a huge amount of stuff that was broken at release that has been addressed too, and in general that improves with each content patch.

In Topic: Anyone using a Logitech G13 or something similar?

I wanted something like the G13 - but they don't make them reversed for use with the right hand (long story, shoulder rsi = can't mouse with right hand, therefore it's left hand mouse or nothing). So I built my own version ;).

Thumb switch = movement, C = Target closest, T = select called target, holding Ctrl on mouse + t = call target, ~ = weapon swap. Right index finger on 1.

The centre of the the thumb switch is bindable, but it's hard to press while moving so I ignore it. I use the mouse right-click to turn the camera/steer.

For firefox (and probably any browser), you can copy the "ui.html" text from above (everything from "<html" to "</html>"), paste it into notepad and save it as an html file. Then you can open that file up in any browser, and it should work (I've tested in firefox). By copying the text yourself you can ensure that you really do just go to the GW2 website if you're worried about it.

Certainly looks interesting.

What happened to a security question?  No one in China knows the name of my first pet.

Given that people tend to reuse security questions on multiple sites...it's quite likely that they could "know" the name of your first pet, having harvested it from elsewhere. Blizzard had a security breach 6 months ago, Steam had one about 1.5-2 years ago, many fan forums all over the place have had security breaches and their account databases harvested...and the harvested details are then used to try to find valid accounts in various games.

https://www.guildwar...count-security/

Security questions don't really provide any security anymore - people's answers have been leaked/compromised too many times in too many places...each time linked with the email/account name making it easy to cross-reference if you've used the same email address/account name elsewhere.

And your password not working...may well mean that you got hacked due to the above stuff too.

The last monthly was lvl 80 exclusive due to the inclusion of the fractals which as far as I can tell require a level 80 character to play. Not all of us have an 80 yet for varying reasons (alt-a-holic here) but it means that previously reachable monthlies were no longer achievable.
Heres hoping that isnt the same for the upcoming month.

Lower level characters are apparently sidekicked up to level 80 in fractals, so they can also do it. I'm guessing that finding a pug group that will take them on the other hand is probably harder.
