I can't believe I was actually looking forward to this game,

In one of the interview a dev said that they are okay with subs and cash shop because they know their IP will attract players regardless. What an arrogant presumtion.

The fact they even have a cash shop in game is a clear sign they plan to milk gamers off their money as much as possible, before switching to F2P after they start losing subs. WoW having cash shop is no argument- they introduced cash shop at golden age of the mmo, with many players playing the game for years already. It's completely different circumstance.

In no way I am going to support such blatant money-grab attempt. Such arrogance thinking they will get away with this. Well, they won't have my money.

That's all I have to say.

I am stranded on Dredgehaunt Cliffs overflow, afraid to change map so I won't get back.

I used that time to work on my completion :D

Can't say I like this. I was hoping it would be B2P like GW2 is, but now that they announced they're going with subs on top of the box price, I don't think I will buy this game.

On the other hand EQN has my as hyped as I was after GW2 announcement... which is both great and terrible at the same time.

I demand we Evon Gnashblade supporters get free T-shirts saying "Don't blame me, I voted for Gnashblade".

That being said, I am quite sad they ditch the Abaddon fractal. It could be refreshing change after recent living story direction. Instead, we get recykled asura/inquest/lab experiment gone boom content. And more pirates.

I was actually intrigued by the whole landmark idea upon reading up on it, then I saw the graphics and immediately balked.  I'm sorry but GW2's graphics aren't getting dated at all, despite the fact that they're not some "stylized realism" or "cartoony" appearance.  As such I don't really buy the cop out developers use for low quality MMO-graphics anymore.  If they improve the graphics (not likely as it would take a complete artistic redesign) between now and launch I'd probably check it out.

Don't know which game you're playing, but GW2 definitely is stylized. Maybe not to the extent of WoW or SWTOR, but it's graphics is far from realistic.

As for EQN, I think the reason why it's using rather "stylized" graphics is partly because of the Landmark, as well as destructive enviroment. They want the game to be widely accessible, I imagine designing a wholly destructive world and player editor using believable "realistic" graphics would be very demanding, not to mention expensive.
