I wonder what it would be like to get breast implants on my arm.

If I was considering those I would not put them on my arm, you can only squeeze and touch with one hand then unless you have remarkably flexible wrists, seriously Leto I am surprised at you.

I loves me some Ensure. I love drinking my Ensure and stretching out first thing in the morning in front of the window; wearing my headband and 1986 gym shorts. This is how I get my juices flowing for the nights' WvW fights.

I was totally against it at the time. I have since changed my mind. Now that populations are settled, hide it until the end. I'd rather hear the whining conspiracy ANET CHEATED US jackawads than the baby pea*s strutting all day long.

If they did that, and had the option to reveal your character's name to enemies, I'd be happy.

I don't think PPT is as important as everyone makes it out to be.

While yes it may be a motivating factor for your casuals, I think if you are in a WvW orientated guild you are going to get out there regardless of the score.

Honestly, the best thing that ever happned to SoR and really made it the resilient server it is today is the 11 weeks we went outmanned against BG yet still managed to go #2. We would log in during our NA literally to 0ppt because we had no asian guilds and no euro guilds.

Looking back those were rough days and would have broken any other server, luckily we had strong minded players on the server that just kept fighting regardless of the score.

While there is some animosity between BG and SoR, I don't think anyone would want to change the tier, like I said before there's good competition right now. The coverage wars are skewed, but at least during NA there's good fights to be had. Though supposedly TC is in the process of getting some overnight coverage so who knows what will happen with that.

My allergies are messin with me hardcore today and I am on some drugs so I'll try to make this coherent without insulting people too much. That isn't my intent.

The end scores are not reflecting the matches correctly. People should stop focusing on who is "winning". This is a lesson that some of us learned on SBI. Off NA hours coverage is what is winning these matches. I use the word winning very loosely because, let's be honest here, the only thing anyone is winning is a score. There isn't anything tangible anyone is winning.

Acting like the servers aren't competitive with each other during NA hours is silly. Anyone actually playing this game could tell you that if they could set their own prejudices aside. In my opinion bot SoR and BG have good players and guilds during the NA timeslot. Yeah sometimes they make questionable decisions out in the field but then, so does JQ.

It's unfortunate that there is an overall score. It's too bad they can't be removed from visibility and have the PPT just be used to calculate fast everyone gains the world bonuses. THe end score could be kept from players and just used for calculating server strength.

I can't remember my overall point. (damn allergy meds) I think it was  People should just stop playing to win matches and just try and enjoy the game while they are on. THe score doesn't matter anyway.  (I'm sure I have posted this in another thread somewhere before I was even on JQ)

Well, Pathis. I have no idea when you play.....but when I play, SoR lags out the entire server...Dolyaks rubber band, tower workers pause for several minutes, skills lag by seconds at best, minutes at worst.

This happens because SoR guilds band together in one big zerg, so there is nowhere else for randoms to go but in the single monster zerg.

On the bright side, it's great being able to capture an SoR keep with 10 people, because SoR is nowhere BUT in the zerg...so you know where the zerg is, you know you are pretty safe from being spotted, let alone get attacked.

I have been playing NA prime time in the SoR BL for the most part. As you all know, when you are in your home borderland, you are constantly on the defensive as two enemies are constantly assaulting you. Disclaimer: I am not complaining about being 2v1'd, because it is both the nature of the game itself and the nature of being in your own BL. We will have a guild like EMP with randoms full forcing Bay as it is the closest and easiest major objective for them to take off an on all night. We will also have BG hitting Hills with their full force off and on all night. Meanwhile havoc squads from both servers will run around and try to kill reinforcements to whatever we are defending and will take camps.

Pretty typical evening when defending your own BL.

Unfortunately when one server is attacking an objective with 80 people, you cannot always afford to split forces. This results in a SoR zerg ball fighting a <insert server> zerg ball. If we win, that zerg ball is pretty much forced into the nearby supply camps as well so gates/walls can be repaired. When I say forced, we can expect the enemy zerg we just wiped (if we do) to return much of the time... and need to be ready for it.

Then all of a sudden, the keep on the other side of the map gets hit and people are forced to move there next. Some will stay at the first keep to watch for the other zerg, and a force suitable in size to beat the other attackers will move to defend. Then supplies need to be gotten, doors/gate repaired, and rinse/repeat all night ad nauseum.

I have been running counter havoc for the most part this matchup (thanks for the dozens of awesome small fight btw everyone who was running havoc too), but have been forced to rejoin our 'zerg ball' because our 'zerg ball' was smaller than the enemies by far because we were forced leave defense forces at keeps because they were getting hit at the same time.

Yeah long post... more serious than I care to normally post on the boards too. Still though, what do you expect us to do when people full force our keeps? At least in our home BL, you do the best you can with what you have in any given situation. I think if the BLs were designed better, bigger, and enemies couldn't just get back to your keep in 30 seconds after dying... more people would be *allowed* to spread out.

Only thing that would discourage zerg balling around the entire is not being able to cover the entire map so quickly in your zergball.  If you can cover every objecive on the map at a moments notice then there is no use for spreading out the soldier resources in order to protect what you have and attack other objectives.  How you do that in these small maps...well is it a design flaw or working as inteded?  I don't know the answer.

Why'd people run 8mans in daoc ?  More profitable then running in a zerg.  This game rewards zerging.

Solution is easy.

That's an idiotic statement to make. Just because something works in one game suddenly works in another game right? You should totally apply that concept in life.

The fact is, the 5 man AoE limit is a nerf on AoE and a fair one. It's just that simple. Right now AoE are way too strong vs single target damage. If everybody could do as much AoE damage as the elementalist, maybe it could be fair but right now it isn't.

Anyways, it is a good thing people like you on the forums don't make or balance games. (same applies to me, but I don't pretend to have all the answers).

Thats why every game thats come out since DAOC has tried to copy their system.  To be honest none have.  Dated as it was it still has the best rvr (pvp) system I've seen in any mmo.  They could test out no aoe cap on a test server see how it works before all the fire and brimstone whiners set themselves on fire over the hypothetical suggestion and your world ends.

*runs through the SoR guild directory in his mind* Hmmmmmm.... I have only ever know 4 guilds of any reputation on SoR.... and I have been chasing Blackgate for two weeks... huh... I can tell you which ones it isn't but not sure if it's the one I think it is. I'll need to pay attention.

I agree with Covisspathen about the running. A WHOLE lotta running away on all sides, JQ included (SoR included). Not everyone or all guilds but a large number on all three sides. OR maybe we just never saw them because they got culled once the got out of render range. Sure seems like the draw distance is way longer than before.

I get pissed because I see this BIG fight about to go down and then it's like me and 20 other assorted people tossing pebbles at each other because folks from all side run when the red umbers pop up. DODGE. Use you heals! MOVE! Teleport! Shields up! Stall for time! Hit back! ANYTHING BUT RUN!

Defeat in this game is such a non issue. Who cares if you die? Holy crap, I came from games where you died, they got your stuff, you had nothing unless you took you ghost to a temple, rezzed, ran back and fought off the looters AND you lost ability points or skill levels... or you had to spend tons of money and time replacing broken stuff that couldn't be repaired. NOW? No level loss, no exp penalty, no stat drops temporary or permanent. It's like My Little Pony land and folks still run away instead of dying?

I can understand a tactical retreat, but I see straight up running away. And I WILL call my own folks out via whisper when I see it.

I get that a lot, oddly.

Naw, it's a picture of a hand forged knife from Ironheart knives being held in front of breasts. I asked the guy to send me a picture of my knife when he finished making it, and I guess he figured I'd like to see how it looked in front of some boobies. So, I kept the photo. Boobies.

I knew that already, I just wanted to make you repeat it.

It just goes to show you that when a 1990s platform game can garner more interest than the Big WvW update...

We only lost because Blackgate scored more points.

And now for my SoS congratulatory post:

(and before anyone quotes this as excuse making, it's a parody.)

GG BG. You really worked hard and 'earned' a victory this week. With JQ busy completing Guild Missions and throwing a getaway party for PRX, we didn't feel like doing WvW for the last 3 days, and you PvDoored your way right to first. We won't let that happen again. You did win, so congrats on that. We assure you that this week we have everyone back from the Hamoozian Holiday wich really affected our Eurasian/NA/Void time slots, and so GG to you and we hope you enjoyed us not really trying at all because we're bored. GG, BG. I suppose one win while we were all incarcerated for spring break antics is a great acheivement. GG. Really. But it doesn't count.

(In all seriousness BG, GG and thank you for continuing to fight instead of quitting like so many other servers did. Good on you for knowing JQ was beatable and fighting all the way through to victory).
