I too can really recommend this game, you get a daily bonus for logging in and playing.
The force of this game is that, when you're in a situation and play well, you can still make it out and feel good about it.

As far as random grouping goes, was in a random (Overflow) with a full party, at the end fractal 2 dc'd but we managed to complete it nonetheless.
Awesome people with none of the above hating on low level (was level 11 then).
