Did gifs suddenly get more than 256 colors?

I prefer GIF over JPG, and PNG over both - But PNG would have been too big of a file.

They did? I must have missed it. I really hope so... I can just imagine the possibilities of scale and content for a festival in GW2... it could really be amazing!

That's what I was thinking, but then I remembered... the GW1 launch was much smoother and less problematic than GW2… which is why I wonder if we really will see it.
