When you level up as a Norn Warrior, the character says: "By the power of.. ME!!!! Hehe.." For sure it is a reference to He-Man from Masters of the Universe.

I think I got a Mini Chromatic Ooze during beta, and if my memory doesn't fail, it was from a Veteran Chromatic Ooze, so I'm pretty sure they also drop from enemies.

I  think it would be ubber cool if GW2 Tyria still have Luxons (and kurzicks) as rebels somewhere. Maybe even united against the common enemy.

I think it is possible the Luxons developed their turtle-powered engineering, and managed to build giant forts above huge turtles on the far oceans! Kurzicks could be living underground, as someone posted above.

If they're not, I will deeply miss them. =[

In Topic: Why don't the Elder Dragons just kill everybody?

Grab your tinfoil hats! I remember something about the Elder Dragons being some kind of force of nature.
Now, I don't know if that is only figurative or literally, but if it's the second case, then I think they resemble the Weapons from Final Fantasy VII. Followin this line of thought, people in Tyria have no clue as to what the ED intentions really are, they just presume it's total destruction, but maybe it could be that some kind of unseen event is happening (or started happening during GW1) that put the world itself in risk. In this line, they are Tyria defense system. The colateral damage is something they see as natural, as life will find a way of keep going.
Or they are just beasts with no logical thought or anything like that.
