So I USED to support CU, until I read one little sentence.

Quote

City State Entertainment, led by online game pioneer and Mythic Entertainment founder Mark Jacobs and code guru and CSE co-founder Andrew Meggs, needs your support to make the next great Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) for the PC and select tablets (stretch goal dependent).

and select tablets

No thanks, keep tablets as far away from MMOs as possible. It's just like Defiance all over again. I was interested until they decided to make console versions as well. You can see direct reflections of this in game design. Poor game design that is.

Seems cool I did like daoc rvr but a game based solely on PVP/PK WITHOUT any PVE side is already doomed imo.

Granted DF was a crappy game before it was even released but that was strictly PVP and that didnt exactly turn out so well.

Eh, I wouldn't say that at all. Read the blog posts about CU. Mark clearly states he doesn't want a lot of subs. He specifically says if the studio gets 50k subscribers he'll have met his goal. Doomed? No. Not the next 'WoW Killer'? Yes.

I'm always for delays if it means getting a content that is actually working and with no bugs. It's better to have it delayed then to have it forced and full of bugs.
And as always people don't know what they want. They want new stuff, Anet gives them but it's buggy, people don't want buggy release, but hate Anet for delaying stuff so it wouldn't be buggy. Awesome people, just awesome.

No most of the anger comes because Anet delays it to "fix bugs" then releases it with bugs. If your content is not finished tell us that, don't lie and say you are bug testing when you really aren't.

The only thing that is being restricted is the direct trading of in-game gold for pieces of art on the forum. Contests and such are still perfectly acceptable, it's just this specific avenue of trade we're looking to avoid.

I know it's disappointing for some of you, especially those who participated in them on gw1g, but hopefully you can understand where we're coming from when we enforce this policy.

Solution:

People who want artwork done, hold a contest of who can do the best artwork of their character. Reward is in game gold. It's commissions, but legal since it's a contest.

In Topic: Here's my commander solution, hope you guys like it.

Actually the solution is not one commander. They key is, other commander icons disappear whenever you join a squad. I think it's so much more beneficial to have multiple squads of 10-30 running around and doing specific jobs than one commander leading a zerg,
