Yeah but usually when I try it, I comw back to "you have been defeated, use wp...yada...yada"

On a side note, I really miss space bar auto run.

^Yep^

Orr I get stuck on some tiny object and have been running in place for almost the entire time.
However, my failure at this task has never stopped me from continuing it's practice.

In Topic: FFXIV - Old-style p2p MMO, opposite GW2 & doing well

I'm not bashing FFXIV with my below comments, just a imo.

The game looks great, till up close. Animations are laughable. Huge boss just magically does a 180, instantly, stuff like that.
Invisible walls...everywhere! Like I said, looks great, just don't try to explore it cause you can't.
Once I had the funds to teleport the game got better but questing before then was mind-numbing with all the back tracking and pointless travel time. The quest themselves are copy and paste from any ftp mmo.
I quickly started to hate other players, stealing my kills, delaying my quest, simply getting in my way.
But the major factor in my dislike of FFXIV was the been-there-done-that feel.
Crafting was fun.

All in all, I would just play one of many free mmo's out there v.s paying for FF.

edit: spelling ;-)

In Topic: Have you paid more for gems than a sub fee in the past year?

$300.00 sounds about right.
Having the choice is fantastic imo.
I'm not playing atm but knowing I could log in and melt some faces without needing to resubscribe is kickass!

I have gifted allot of gems.
I had a few young family members pick-up the game recently and I helped them once they hit 80 with a about 3k each.
Giving gems helped me in a way. I had my own goals and needed my mats and gold to meet them.
If I helped them all from my personal pool of resources then I would have never accomplished some of the them.

I was one of the luckier ones. I was there for the 3 day headstart and was able to make a good amount of gold very quickly as I had access to the TP for days before some others and could craft, post, sell armor before prices leveled out or bottomed out for mid-high level armor.
I also had a gold seller mail me 10g the 2nd week. I did not order or pay for it, it was just there in my mail one morning. So I used that to get mats and crafted 2 corrupted avenger's that I sold for 5g profit each. Rinse and repeat then add Volcanus (once the reciepe was discovered). Made 2 of those for allot of gold. Then made 1 of each for myself.

So I traded in gold for gems by the 10k's when the exchange was around 13s for 100 gems (if I am remembering correctly) and unlocked 13 character slots, maxed bag slots for all toons, maxed my bank and got a bunch of Halloween costumes.
I still had a ton of gems that I later exchanged for gold...wish I had not.
I had to buy back less gems than I had several months later for the hundreds of dollars mentioned above.

Having said all that, I am extremely happy overall with price v/s goods received in GW2.

edit:
Ha! I have changed the dollar amount 3 times (to a higher number) after I really added it up.

Glad you found a fix but I use Gigabyte's GTX 570 SOC and it is performing with no issues with the newest drivers.
No matter though as you are not crashing anymore and were able to rule out overheating as the cause!
