In Topic: GW2 and the Trinity

Sure thing....put in trinity, remove every possible "exploitable" non damage based aggro mechanic from tanks, increase healing aggro to 200% of that of damage....That should be interesting. Otherwise no thanks.

I have played a tank in raids in WoW for years. While you are right in saying that it required very intricate setups and also execution in many fights there, in the end it was all a matter of learning the dance steps and sticking to them, without much variety. I sure had enjoyable experiences there, but I by now I definitely prefer what GW2 has to offer. Currently the boss fights may often feel shallow, but please do not compare a three month old game to a several years old one. I am hoping there will be more interesting fights surfacing in the time to come. Meanwhile, people can still learn to play :)

That epic feeling you get when you're holding massive horde of foes at bay with your trusty shield, that feeling of epicness as you go toe to toe with a towering boss, slapping away his strikes and opening him up for your allies to strike?

I kinda miss it. It's cool that we can "do it all", but would it have killed them to introduce an intelligent threat system so that people who like to tank can go 30 points into defense (as a warrior) and just go to town on an entire enclave of ogres without getting a scratch?

On that note, why couldn't they make it so you could "do it all", but allow people who just love to heal and tank do it. Some will say, oh you can totally heal as an ele/guardian, but unfortunatly, healing in DE's is pretty much shooting yourself in the foot, since the game only bases contribution on damage. (really intelligent system design)

So wait, a game where you can do anything you want, except for what you want to do?

weird....

also, obligatory inb4 fanboys telling me to go play WoW.

So yeah, I missing tanking.

Lol what epic feeling? Pressing a single button that says "Taunt" on it and making mobs hit you just because the button says so? No thanks.

Did you click on the link and read the interview... here is the actual statement sir...

That implies singular... as in once.

No it isn't. It is rather generic statement.

Look at the damage numbers. There is a reason Blurred Frenzy deals WAY less damage then Hundred Blades. It makes you evade attacks. It's balanced.

Yes it is. The problem is that there are people in here that want those 4 seconds of channeling 100b to also do the same....lol?

Sounds like a bitter mesmer who doesn't know how to play his class.  You should never, ever lose to 100b warriors, or any type of warrior for that matter.  Also, you clearly don't understand that the difference between heavy and light armor is about 300 points in total.

The day I loose to 100b I will let you know. That has nothing to do with whether that ability needs teaking or not towards the direction of the insane people in this thread want.

We are talking about Warriors here, it's not a health or armor issue, it's an issue related to a skill that's completely useless in any way for player vs player combat, hardly any class has that with any of the viable weapons.

And you are proposing mechanisms used in related skills, disregarding a whole array of factors. Sure why not...make it more "usable" and reduce damage by 40%.
