I really don't understand this random problem everyone is complaining about. You steal an item. You figure out what it is. You use it when and where appropriate.
Why is there this linking of stealing an item and immediately using the item? Like it was some how ordained by the game mechanics gods that any stealing system that does not involve immediately bashing someone over the head with said stolen item is fundamentally flawed. Why is it not valid to consider those two separate actions?
I see Steal as a dual skill with a cooldown in between. Part 1 is the shadow step to target. That's a useful ability. I work it into my attack strategy. Then the steal ability is on cooldown for the length of time it takes me to identify what I stole. Finally, the Part 2 is the use of the stolen item. Sure the item I get is random, but after I identify it I can plan accordingly. If it's an immobilize I'll use it one way. If it's a heal I'll use it another...and so on. There is nothing random about that.
The only problem here is that you can't have a preprogrammed skill rotation like F1, F1, Skill-3, Skill-3, Dodge because you are not exactly sure what the second F1 would do. Just pull that second F1 out. It's on cooldown.
Its because most of us are used to this traditional mmo gameplay where u use skill a> b > c > d > so on and do it over and over again instead of using those skill at the right moment and at the right time.
p/s: sorry for being off topic, but i just have to say this.
