Because if you had all Guildwars1 and Expansions ,if you actually played the games you will realize every single zone had different mobs with different abilities.. every single dungeon had different Bosses too.. so it required completely DIFFERENT tactics.. and DIFFERENT builds to pass zones. If you ever played zones in Hardmode.. or if you ever played something called Player vs Player (PVP).. you also will discover that you cannot use the same skill setup ..not only everyday.. but every turn or run to any new instances. More skilled players even could farm Solo Bosses.. or earn extra money opening zones to others by running alone. Guildwars1 required lots of tactics . Lots of thinking lots of strategy ..to pass some zones specially in HArd mode.. but also PVP required different tactics and different builds depending what the other side is doing.. It have decent character development since you could unlock unique skills if you work hard .. and make them more powerfull .. now everything that was fun in the previous game was completely removed in GW2.. and we have a game now that is MUCH MORE forgiven ,MUCH more simplistic ,much more fool proof , that even 5 years old kids can play.. is all zerg. here and there. People have no roles..in instances, just kill whatever everyone hits. smashing the same buttons.. Obviously Arenanet was targeting the console market ,a game for very casual players ..but also moms and Dads with no experience in challenging games , with strong combat or tactics. My grandma for sure will love GW2.. kids will also love it..but players who love challenge ,who love strong tactics and character development.. will find this game a disaster when compared to Gw1 . This game is all about exploring worlds.. not about developing characters .. Like it is Rpgs games.. is more like a third person online shooter. ala Tomb Rider which is also very popular.
