I just made Valkyrie armor for a few reasons.  First, It was less expensive to get the teeth than the powerful blood you need for Berserker's.  I also preferred the vitality boost since I've seen the math and vitality is better than toughness since toughness doesn't help with condition damage and the damage reduction is less effective than the increase in health given by vitality.  Since I prefer DD to condition damage, I then have the Ranger runes for precision, ruby jewelry for power, precision and crit, and weapon sigils for power (bloodlust), or you could use the precision sigil if you prefer.  I just really like not being squishy anymore since I now have a decent health pool and still maintain good damage with my sigils runes and trinkets.

In Topic: Is Guardian the only way to effectively solo pve?

I've played the Ranger to level 42 (love that band) and I haven't had any difficulty soloing.  The occasional Champion gives me a headache, but only because of time and re-spawns.  The secret (if it can be called that) has been using the shortbow and it's quick auto attack along with Bear pets to tank, Troll Ungent to heal us both, and mouse look/kiting with strafe.  If you can run around the mob (or mobs) in circles and keep them from getting in any big hits you'll have no issue at all.  I've saved people and groups many times in events because while everyone else goes down I stay up.  It's been a lot of fun.  It can be difficult to get used to strafing and turning with the mouse instead of turning with the right and left look (which is too slow and stops your attack), but the auto attack keeps me hitting for damage even when I'm too busy running and dodging to hit my other skills.  Give it a try!

Nice video.  You edited it very well.  I only tried WoW after having spent a lot of time in Guild Wars and I think the art in Guild Wars kind of spoiled the immersion of WoW for me.  Having said that, I appreciate the time you spent in that game and I hope that you'll find Guild Wars 2 justifies the change.  I really admire that you were able to accept that it's all just a game and the virtual isn't real, so you could say goodbye to WoW without holding on to things that you no longer need.  I know from playing Guild Wars over the years that the team does an amazing job of keeping things fresh and evolving, and that most of the players are well worth knowing.   I'm sure you'll find Guild Wars 2 a better experience since you'll be able to jump in with a clean break.  Enjoy the next step!
