I did prepurchase the game, that I know for a fact. I purchased off of the Guild Wars 2 website, not another retailer.

I was unable to access the very last stress test due to this problem. This began when I changed my account name from an old email address to a current one. I'm also unable to access my Guild Wars 1 account ever since then (saying that there is no account by that name). I have tried changing the account name back to the old one, but that doesn't help either. I sent in a ticket back then, and got a response, but it wasn't helpful at all.

I am able to log into the Guild Wars 2 website and download the client and everything.

I have also sent in a support ticket at around 1am EST, with some updates every now and then to clarify the problem. Still no response, which is why I'm also asking here on the guru.

Also, I have tried a -repair and deleting my local.dat, as it says to do on the support website. Still nothing. I have also asked my friend to log in on my account, he was unable to do so as well, so this is not on my end.

Update: There was a tweet for a workaround, to uncheck "Remember Account Name " and "Remember Password." Still doesn't work.

Any advice?

There was a topic earlier with this same exact name but it became locked due to it being posted before the servers opened up. I would have posted it there but I'm unable to do that.

I went onto the support website and it told me to -repair and delete my local.dat folder. I did that and I am still having the same problem. Short of sending in a ticket and waiting for a reply, would there be any other solution to this?

I heard somewhere that it was possible to do this. Is that correct? And if so, how would one go about to doing it (I would like to upgrade to the digital deluxe)?

I understand that GW1 players get first priority on names and such, that's not what the question is about. But let's say I create a character, and I delete that character later on, is there a grace period (30 minutes to an hour) where no one can use that name so I will be able to use it for a new character?

I'm posting this in the Guardian forum rather than the Suggestions forums because I'd rather have people who actually play the Guardian comment on the idea.

I've heard of many people complaining about all of the Guardian's elites. They immobilize you for the duration (which is the worst part about them considering GW2 is a game about movement (PvP and PvE)). And only one of them is really worth taking (Tome of Courage), and even then, people only really use the daze and then the full-heal then they swap out of the elite.

I'm not saying that they're terrible elites (only two of them are) but they can definitely be reworked into something more... in line with the Guardian. So here's my idea.

Instead of having the elite tomes, turn them into a spirit warrior/defender of sorts. In other words, you summon a spirit to fight alongside of you. One elite for the current Tome of Wrath that is more offensive (inflicts burns/blinds/knockdowns/etc.). The other elite that would replace Tome of Courage would be defensive (has AoE heals, constant AoE regen, and maybe an AoE protection or aegis that procs every couple of seconds).

The reason behind the idea is that Guardians can already summon spirit weapons, and these spirit warriors could be considered a spirit weapon as well. Current spirit weapon traits would affect them as well.

Then my idea for the third elite (can't remember the name at this time, but the one that refreshes virtues and makes you invulnerable for four seconds) would be to change it into a meditation. Take away the invulnerability, but make it refresh all your virtues (as the current elite does) but also make it activate all of them as well, even if they are on cooldown.



The main idea behind these new elites is to make them fit with the current utility skills of Guardian but still keep reasoning behind the current elites. I also wanted to make the Guardian more mobile as well, as all of these abilities don't require the Guardian to stand in one location. Of course, they would need to be tweaked, balanced, and such.
