I've finally gotten Ioseph's armour to a stage that I'm happy with. Boring brown dyes (Chocolate and Midnight Fire), but I like my leathers to look leather, and my thieves to look understated. :D
The set is exotic karma stuff (PvP rugged) on the chest, legs and boots. I'm not a fan of how bulky the gloves and shoulders are, so I went with Leather gloves and Whispers shoulder(s).

Since I have the typical T3 human top + vigil set as my Thief's Zerker armor, and since it is so over done now, I decided to break away for her Valk set skin and go for a more covered Assassin type gangster look.  I really like the Vigil Pistol for these sets.

#2147118 January Content Update

Sooo, to recap this a little: They first burst out that the 2 updates together would have "an expansion's worth of content in traditional MMORPGs" and later on corrected it by saying that it does not actually contain anything at all that could even on first glace be mistaken for the content of an actual expansion: It will have no skills, traits, races, classes, areas, gameplay mechanics, or game modes. Instead it will feature some kind of slightly changed daily missions that will send you all across the world in order to complete already existing rewards, with new tokens and a matching vendor to incentivise.

I wonder what crappy traditional MMORPG they play at anet hq, it surely doesn't sell a whole lot of expansion packs. =)

You seem awfully certain of exactly what's coming for someone who doesn't actually know what's coming.
They said modifying the dailies is one of the things they're doing. There are also probably a lot of other things they are going to do that they haven't announced or even hinted at. I'm a bit disappointed by this, too, I was expecting maybe Tengu would become playable or we'd get some new dungeons and areas, but I'll save my final judgement for when it's actually released.

Everything you've mentioned is literally why that area exists.

Hmm, rather weird that they would give money back to people that have broken the ToS they signed, but good for you I suppose.

The recipe was valid and working and its all Anets fault if the materials were not correct, if players asked they were already being correct, the lack of answer on the other hand was not, it was rude and led to this situation.

The exploit or bug came into the game by the update Anet released so its their fault, players are there to play the game the best they can and not to judge if a recipe is correct or not, the permanent banning of players is not justified and they are treating them just like common botters and hackers, there has to be somekind of degree for an offence in place here and exploits should not be capital punishement.

You act like botters and hackers are the only people that deserve bans.  People that exploit bugs are essentially cheaters and they deserve bans as well.  We aren't playing a single player game!

The people that were banned knew something was up with those recipes and that's why they exploited the hell out of them.  I'm sick of hearing all these sob stories about innocent people getting banned and how it's all Anet's fault.  Anet is absolutely to blame for the bug existing, but nobody was forced to exploit it.  You should be just as mad at your friends for being greedy idiots.

Because the devs allowed it to go on for more time than it should, people asked in the official forums i have checked that, why didn´t they just isolated the recipe imediately? we are only judging the players here why?
Because a mistake is not an offence, Anet did not commit an offence.
Abusing said mistake is an offence, players did that excessively enough to get banned, so why not judge only those players?

Why did they choose to abuse the bug?

Just because an ashtray is on the table does not mean you have to light up, bro.

I can perfectly understand your feeling. Not just confirming every single point you made , but the worst part, we paid this junk. This is what drives me angry. The perfect common knowledge by anyone of us that all of us has just been scammed and this damned company is not gonna pay the proper price in a tribunal for sell this shit.

Someone doesn't have a clue what they are talking about.. 99% of the player base has gotten hundreds of hours out of this game for what 60 dollars? Go buy another game for 60 dollars with no sub fee and get that many hours. Its a good game, yes it has its problems but don't they all?

#2129376 End of year GOTY Awards...agree or disagree....

Posted Gilles VI on 27 December 2012 - 07:34 PM

That's what a vocal minority accomplishes.

People think the game is very bad, but in reality it's just a couple of people whining about a small part of the game.
Result is everybody forgets the good parts of the game.

But people that can remain objective and keep a distance from forums like this can give their opinion, and apparently some of these people think GW2 is GOTY. :)

Not very constructive feedback bud, even if you were thinking it (like many may have been)

The whole thread has zero constructivity in itself, the OP was merely stating a wide-known thing (namely, to use the Trading Post) while also letting the public know his current case he got (which is not the first story appearing on the forums), all the while trying to get sympathy (which by the some of the comments, you will see that he won't get based on the fact that scams already happened, Anet already said they don't have anything to do with trades outside the TP and by common sense of not trusting random strangers on the internet) in order to have a higher chance to regain his money.

All in all, the moral of the story: don't be greedy, otherwise that 15% cut you try to avoid may go up to a 100% cut. (and noone will give a damn about it other than yourself)
