Sweeping statements are so much fun, until someone that actually knows what he's talking about shows up. Soloing camps is useless if you can't do it fast. Thief does it fast and also has the tools to get away if it comes to that, all in the same build. Also, no, not every class can do it because for some the needed build gimps you in other situations, so it's not worth it. Thanks for trying.

I'm alright with free transfers but there should be more restrictions

things like

1: Two month cool down on sever transfers. Can be halved if the player pays 1500 gems.

2: Cannot transfer to a server your current server is matched up against this week or will be next week (last part dependent on weather or not it's clear your server will be facing them)

This would get rid of allot of the problems caused by entire guilds transfering on a weekly bases & as a plus if a guild just has to transfer then arena.net is going to make a sizable profit.

Its easy to look back on and old game and remember all the good things, forget its flaws, and call out a newer game for not being exactly like your fond memories.

DAoC had its flaws, GW2 has its flaws.   Overall, both were/are very good games in their own rights.  
This is GW2s first attempt at WvW/RvR battles as far as i can tell, and i think it was a pretty decent one.  DAoC was Mythic's 2nd (or 3rd depending on how you want to view Darkness Falls 1), so they had time to tweak things, learn from their mistakes and improve.

So, in short, not every game is a carbon copy.  Things change.  Recommend fixes for problems that allow GW2 to be its own thing, and not a copy of DAoC.  Things will hopefully get better.
ANet tried something, didnt get it perfect and will work on improving it.  Thats how things develop.....  (that they worked on PvE first, i dont like....but completely understand)

Oh and half the time i didnt know who was giving me run speed in DAoC either, just a "Bard LFG".

Thats sPvP dude. WvW is about objectives. I always look to kill folks everywhere anyways. Open ened killing with no forts would be zerg vs zerg. Objectives offer some protection for undermanned forces. WvW is not kill centric. If it were, there'd be player ranks.

That map severely disadvantages the green team.

Am I wrong in thinking that would actually just prevent green from accruing as many points as they could in an even matchup.  Wouldn't this make matches more stale as green would rarely be able to move up a tier from such a disadvantaged position, even when they are ready to move.

Not only that but it would be that much easier for red to just hold out on defense while green and blue fight giving red the ability to sit in a tier longer than maybe they should.

I could be wrong, but I would imagine that would lead to tiers sitting with the same server for an extremely long period of time.

@OP, I think it's one the few things where ranger has an advantage, let them have it.
If you lose a 1v1 vs a ranger you deserve to get killed.

Probably don't list your server because its your 4th or 5th transfer now since release?

T1 and T2 aren't about skill or tactics, they are about numbers and coverage.

Every lower tier has just as much skill and tactics to go around relative to their size as any T1 server.

War Machine chose to stand alone, I wouldn't expect a bandwaggoner like yourself to even begin to understand that.

the stagnation of the tiers is a sign that the rankings are actually balancing out and servers are fighting against the servers most likely to offer them a quality match.
