From the first to the last release its epic meter goes up some than a lot more at southsun cove, goes down a little at dragon bash, goes up some more and a lot at clockwork chaos, tower of nightmares goes through the roof, and marionette, mists, and massive damage of lions arch make the excitement even more amazing. The current final release where we retake lions arch and (SPOOOOOIIIIIIILLLEEEEEEEEERRRS) kill scarlet, was the best of the lot. The battle in her bad*** armor was great, but her final scene where we actually finish her off once and for all is kinda boring, but that's when (SPOOOOIIIIIILLLEEEEEEEERS AGAIN) The Breachmaker hits the leyline and sents a blue beam of magic deep into the heart of the magumma jungle, wrecking some asuran buildings in the process. And then comes that final moment in the cutscene where it reaches a certain spot, and underground, something awakens, ready to consume all. . . "We faced scarlet on our door that day, and then we brought the fight to her", but I think she wasn't the big one were probably about to face judging the cutscene, will the dark secret of the magumma jungle arise? Will it be, *gulp. . .*
What I hope: Scarlet finally does something she cannot control on her own accord and it backfires into her so hard that she's scarred for life with an impossible to cure condition that makes her wake up finally and realize what she's been doing was for nothing. In the end, she has no regrets, vowing you have seen the last of her, but we haven't seen the last of her work... her legacy.
What I expect: Scarlet does the unthinkable and destroys an entire centralized hub location to the point it's uninhabitable. We then have the choice of rebuilding Lion's Arch to the way it once was, or a brand new, up to date, superior looking local that would do the 6 Gods proud. Unfortunately, we'd need to provide an insane amount of gold, which would provoke gold sellers and third party outside transactions to even fathom the possibility of completion.
What will happen: Everyone complains that Scarlet survives. Scarlet themed armor in the Gem Shop.
If they just make it scale down a bit so 15-20 people can do it then that would be a vast improvement. I'm really not sure what made them believe that requiring 80+ people for an event was a good idea, anyone could have seen (and probably did see) this coming.
Although things like ascended gear are proving there is a farming, gear driven part to this game, that Anet said would not be in it, I am enjoying my time in Guild Wars 2 still, I do not blame Anet for any of their decisions, and believe NCSoft to be the ones pushing them to be more profitable, something that Anet needs to do for their boss.
Nothing really bothers me about Guild Wars 2 at all, I have paid more money in subscriptions to play far inferior games. I wish for a meaty paid expansion to come out though, the two week mini expansions are OK, but I want more.
I am not a fan of the decisions NCsoft makes, I have been playing their games for about nine years now and have had great problems with their customer service, as well as them closing down City Of Heroes (while it was still making a profit, imagine losing your 8 year old characters) and other such actions that prove they are all about money, and have no greater purpose in the industry. Having said that, without the money, there would be no game.
Why is everybody arguing about fireworks. You're not forced to buy these fireworks from the gem store. There just like a novelty for those who enjoy pixel fireworks that have a cool animation to them like i dont know, a mad kings head for example. And why comparing pixels to a real life firework, it's a game. Like I said you're not forced to buy these pixel fireworks they are just there for people who may want to keep them as they may not be around again or animation changed in the future.
Plus I believe those fireworks give some sort of 20 minute boost to something like magic find or something.
