#2077471 High res gallery of all staff skins

Posted dulfy on 13 November 2012 - 07:25 PM

As a continuation of my greatsword skin gallery thread, here is the one staves. I purposely left out the starter PvE/PvP model so it is 57 unique models in total. Missing high res screens for Final Rest (not obtainable in PVE), Primitive Pike (don't know the PVE equivalent), SE and CM staves (could use a better pic for arah staff as well).

#1654046 GuildWars2Spidy - Graphs of the Trade Market

Introduction
Guild Wars 2 loads the trademarket into the game from a website, someone on reddit posted the URL to that website a while back and you can get into that with your game account.

Now what I've build does not require you to login!
I made a niftly little tool that uses my own game account to automatically login to the Guild Wars 2 trademarket website every 15~30 minutes and go through all the listings of all the items and save those in a database.
With that information I can build graphs of sell and buy orders over time.

You can find the website here: http://www.gw2spidy.com/

Progress / Feedback
FEEDBACK IS VERY MUCH WELCOME!
I'd love to hear some feedback on what people think would be good features to build or how to improve the core feature (the graphs).

The official tradingpost site
To avoid confusion: this is an official Guild Wars 2 website! the first URL is https://account.guil...2.com/login?...
There's no need for you to login, I just posted this part so you know where I get my data from!

Is this ok with ArenaNet?
I made a ticket on their support site during BWE3 asking if what I was doing was fine with them, since I use my game account to login it automatically I didn't want to risk getting banned or anything.

Ingame graphs are coming?
There's a small section in the Trademarket called 'Market data' which might just be reserved for a new feature which gives you some graph or something... Depending on what ArenaNet puts there this might be completely useless ;)

Colabarating
First of all, FEEDBACK IS IMPORTANT! That's something I really need.
Other then that, the project is open source so you can see the code here: https://github.com/r...sayshi/gw2spidy on github and feel free to fork or just run off on your own ;)
There'a README included and you can contact me to get more help, I don't mind helping! :D

#1532964 Worried about Nexon and Crystin Cox

Posted Kaldaur on 19 June 2012 - 03:54 PM

The day they signaled that the cash shop was in-game, this was a fight the fans were going to lose. Companies will always push the envelope on what is acceptable to players with regards to cash shop sales. They (publishers) are in this to maximize profits, not create a loving relationship between developer and player. With Nexon joining NCSoft as minority shareholder, this is only going to become more blatant.

#1532955 Worried about Nexon and Crystin Cox

Basically as the title states I am worried about the cash shop in GW2, previously the cash shop bothered me a little but not much since it was stated by Anet that the cash shop will not provide any advantage (which btw it does; xp boost, karma boost ect) but now that Crystin Cox has joined the team, a person who is from Nexus and is also known for managing cash shops for pay to win games. She gave us a lame excuse for why the dye changes went from account bound to character bound, for character customization really? Come on Anet your fans are not stupid we know that you made the dye changes to make more money, might as well be honest about it. I understand money has to be made and from a business perspective making dyes character bound rather than account bound does make sense, I just hope this is not the first step in the wrong direction, I don't want to see anything ELSE in the cash shop that will compromise gameplay, I already purchased the game and I am planning on playing it I just hope this Crysrin Cox is not bad news.
