SoA lost their assigned map (usually green) every night and just didn't carry their weight within the alliance, and on top of that you were nitpicking drama queens. As soon as CND quit the game, you guys took off knowing you weren't welcome without CND sticking up for you.

SoA did play a role, though, that much is true. You made it more of a challenge to win because you always lost your map.

I don't think that there are enough WvW-centric oceanic/asian players to fill in the population gaps in more than 1, perhaps 2 servers at the moment. Even now in Australia with school holidays we still cannot fill our maps during our day time on SBI. There are 2-3 hours during our night which see 1 map filled, but not all.  The only server who can is HoD.

Unless GW2 gets much more popular this coverage issue is going to plague WvW indefinitaly. The winning teams will be decided by coverage rather than skill/effort/coordination alone. As it stands now, the lowest rated server out of SBI/ET/JQ sits in, and stomps second tier bracket each week which doesn't seem like fun either. If people want a remotely fair matchup they'd have to start looking in the 3rd/4th brackets that pit NA server vs NA server vs NA server and hope each of them doesnt absurdly outnumber each other during off-peak times.

Either that or just accept that what you do during peak times means nothing unless you have the off-peak numbers to hold/defend what you've taken. Which then leads to HoD playing to win and shit talking up a storm while doing it and everyone else playing for fun and not giving two shits about an outcome they know they won't change. So HoD will be the kings of the bracket that only they care about. Kings of the hill no one else cares about.

night capping needs to be fixed or it will kill wvw, nobody wants that. before you say "go recruit more people in xx timezone," believe me we would if we could. the population just isn't there to sustain more than one or two servers with off-peak presence. if the current trend continues for too many more weeks i can see people starting to boycott wvw and that would be a real shame. guess we will just have to wait and see.

why they decided to allow the oceanic and asian population on the NA servers is beyond me (nothing against you guys, your hours are just awful for the rest of us).

I really don't know why SBI gets so much disrespect before the last few days. We rolled many servers and played JQ many times before both of us reached the top. Pretty sure we won or came close many times.

SBI really does not have an alliance in the same way HoD has. Our most organized guilds go into borderlands, but EB is 100% militia. We might have some guilds that are in an "alliance" but we aren't very organized. I honestly don't have any idea how we manage anything in EB...we still have lots of people that go fight the grub haha. I will say this though: we are fired up, and we are ready to fight anyone tooth and nail. We're not going to give up trying to take down HoD. Also, if it ever seems like we gang up on JQ, it's mostly because we've considered them our rivals for a long time and we like to stick it to them.
