well op clearly mentioned solo PvE for group no doubt staff has the hardest hitting single target dmgm provided you can keeo the warlocks alive.

no chaos field has way too long of a cooldown to be called "reliable" and the conditions dont last longer than 1 second.
warlock only truly shines if you have other ppl stacking conditions because once more your own dont last long enough.
Sword/Pistol gives u duelist and blurred frenzy for burst along with a gapcloser
staff is more of a defensive/utility choice with some dmg but it lacks burst and only shines in longer fights
