I would have been cool with raising the cost of all the mats, but making them random drops is just going to turn it into a farm/grind to get those mats. I thought that was exactly the kind of shit they didn't want in their game?

Can definitely understand a refund for security reason, but what exactly do you mean by incompleteness? No MMO is ever complete, they're always adding on and working to make it better. Kind of ridiculous to use that as a reason when the game has been out barely a week.
