Martin needs to be fired. This is not a way to handle a PR fallout, and he is doing poorly at his job. If he were my employee and giving people this smiley-face wink 'wait and see', 'thank yo for making them rage, interwebs' crap he'd be fired on the spot. You do NOT mock your playerbase when they are angry, no matter whether they were mislead or not. You either clarify or ask them to wait, but do so as a mature adult, not some internet troll.

No kidding. ArenaNet's one of the big reasons I chose this game; I don't WANT a game full of bots, profanity, and people who exploit every little thing they can find, and they've got a remarkably good track record for these. Yes, they lose a few thousand customers, but by doing so, they've kept the hundreds of thousands of us who are sick of dealing with that stuff in other games. So yeah, not only is the person doing this NOT going to get fired, he'll probably get a bonus out of it.
