In Topic: I just miss Guild Wars

I can't agree more with this topic. I'm writing this with that soundtrack on the background, so many cool memories from GW1.
I've been waiting Guild Wars 2 since they announced it, followed every piece of information of it, I used to think that GW2 will be the PERFECT game, no matter all, because you know, it's the second part of an already perfect game :D

Guild Wars 2 is a pretty good game, but it does not have the feeling of Guild Wars 1. It's just a generic MMO with some innovations and the Guild Wars tag sticked into its name only for commercial purposes.

I think I will always wait for a Guild Wars 1.5, with the same feeling, the same core mechanics, the inmersive story and the beatiful landscapes but improved :D

Bump this.

I can't believe people see the current state of tournaments and think it's okay.
Letting queue with no premade team in tournaments is like to merge HA and RA in GW1, totally brainless. When I play with my team, I want to play versus other teams to compete and improve our skills, not versus 4 (with luck 5, because someone always leaves the match) random folks who don't even care about resurrect their downed teammates.
On the other hand, when I play random I just want to having some fun and, if we are a good team, have the possibility of getting a chest versus other random teams. Just like Random Arena in the original Guild Wars.

Maybe it's just me but I don't think that is the case here.

I was thinking on those games' matchmakings when thinking about the idea. We need it or, at least, 2 different modes: one for random guys who don't want play zergfest (aka 8vs8) but can't have a fixed team and another mode for those full premade teams to compete with each other. Everybody wins.

In my server (Baruch Bay) is still bugged like the event chain which leads to Balthazar Temple or like the event chain which leads to Arah... as well as some personal story quests (http://www.guildwars...0/#entry1863912).

I dont't know what the hell happened to the high level content but it seems very very broken :(
