I looked at Dulfys achievement guide and really don't like the fact that for the Southsun Stalwart achievement you need the sample at the end of the skippin stones JP. Don't take me wrong I do jumping puzzles but to tie an achievement of the living story to completing a JP isn't the way to go. JPs have their own achievement section.

Now the JP will be completely cramped and/or have a mesmer portal at the end (I haven't been able to login yet so I don't know yet which it'll be for my server). Doing the JP now won't be fun at all with half the server there.

Don't be mistaken, the guide itself is a way to get the 25 achievements fast but it's not needed at all to get exactly those 25 ones. I didn't get the sample at the end of the JP and i already have the 25. I just spent 2-3 rounds on the crab game. Winning a round gets you an achievement.

And if you are not in a hurry more achievements will become available in the following days.

Nothing about server lag being fixed yet.
Edit: anyone have an official.quote about these problems?

What i don't really like is what seems to be a "temporary solution" that they have implemented at least on my server. And that is lowering the population cap on every zone. Sure, now there's no apreciable lag on dragon events or any other world events, but the pupulation cap is so low that you end up on overflows all the time, and therefore you miss the events. Dragon timer is less useful now because if you wait for the spawn window to zone in you will find yourself in an overflow. Even zoning 30 minutes before tthe window starts doesn't guarantee you to avoid thte overflow. And, to make things worse, many trolls keep reseting the timer to make people go away so they can enter themselves.

In Topic: [Answered] How do you use guild perks?

Just join one of those guilds that have permanent buffs running all the time. It's the easiest for everybody. They are passive so affect everybody representing the guild without the need to touch any flag. You just need to be representing the guild. Quite a good incentive for people to represent your guild if you ask me.

Flags are inferior in all ways. They only last a few hours once placed, and last only 30 minutes on you once touched, forcing you to remap to the place where you placed it every 30 minutes to have permabuff. That's why you ussually see them on LA or on those typical farming places. Besides, if everybody in the guild was able to place flags there wouldn't be enough influence because everybody would be using the flags for themselves as soon as they were available.

In Topic: Limit to res in dungeons

There can be ways to work around this.
Have not tested this but theorically it should work..... If you die you log out, when you relog you should be out of the dungeon, and there map travel should work because you are outside. You then enter the dungeon again and continue from the nearest WP. Of course it takes more time than before. This wouldnt be effective everywhere though, like on COF path 2 because you have to res very fast to go back, but it can be useful on bosses like lupicus.

Afaik as long as 1 player is still attacking he shouldn´t reset. I never had abovementioned bug happening to me, fortunately.

The main problem with Lupicus is that there has to be always one person within the 1200 range of the boss or the boss will reset. It's easier said than done because you have to consider several things:

1- The boss room is way larger than the 1200 range.
2- Fighting this boss recomends to have party members spread around on phase 2 onwards.
3- The boss likes to teleport to one party member a lot.

With that said, if you have the party well spread and the boss teleports to one person and instakills him chances are that all the remaining people are further away than those 1200 and Lupicus resets. The probability increases of course if there are people who were killed before and teleported to WP and therefore they are not in the room.

In my opinion there should be some kind of alarm or countdown telling the party to get close to the boss fast.
