#2208969 Team Healing - A Compilation

Healing Spring (15 second duration, 30 second cooldown)
- heals ranger and pet for 4920 ( pet does not have to be in the field)
- gives Regeneration to all allies within the field
5 pulses (3 seconds per pulse over 15 seconds) amount of health is dependent on individuals healing stat.
- removes one condition per pulse, so 5 conditions total.
- provides a water field other classes can finish to produce healing or other effects.
Note: Drakes trail swipe (which is their default attack when summoned) provides combo finisher that provides group healing. (tail swipe has a 30 second CD so maximum 2 blast finishers if pets are swapped during Healing Spring) Also Rangers have a leap finisher which provides them with a self only heal from the water field.
Pet supplied group regeneration:
Fernhounds can provide 10 seconds of regeneration to allies with a 25 second cool down.
Red Jellyfish can provide 10 seconds of underwater regeneration to allies with a 30 second cooldown.
Carrion Devourer can provide 15 seconds of underwater regeneration to allies with a 30 second cooldown.
Pet group condition removal:
Brown Bear can remove 1 condition from the group with a 25 second cooldown.

i see this response getting thrown around in this forum and its a bunch of BS. yes player skill and dungeon familiarity plays a large role in survivability but you must acknowledge that there are situations in which you cant avoid dmg, or you time that one dodge wrong in full zerker gear.
you need people that can bring support into a fight. they designed the game that way.
i agree with you. but a support role can boost already good dps. vulnerability, stacks of might, weakness, etc.
im calling the 1%ers and the min/maxers elitist because you dont have to min/max in this game to get a significant advantage.
i think we can all agree and HAVE ALREADY AGREED that the game is easy enough where you dont have to min/max.
seriously. i see this min/max talk here then i turn around and see people berating GW2 for being so faceroll easy.
if its faceroll easy then you dont need to min/max. but if you are saying that min/maxing is needed then the game isnt that easy.
its one or the other
The funny thing is, the "elitists" usually aren't even the people in the business of minmaxing. They're just the ones who think warriors are best because they can't do math. The sheer number of warriors who think their DPS is 20k per second because that's the final number on their HB is mind-boggling. I once had a warrior tell me the axe chain was 1.75s because that's the total time on the tooltips, even though that's obviously wrong since Double Chop doesn't even have an activation time listed. I also once had a warrior tell me he was using Banner of Defense for DPS because he had Armored Attack traited so it was giving the most DPS.
Ironically, most of the people who do talk about minmaxing are good enough that it doesn't really make any difference whether they actually do it or not, which is probably why a lot of classes go unexplored and the "meta" is just spamming warriors. People who follow the "meta" are usually the ones who need it as a crutch, not to optimize. That's pretty much true of any meta in any game.

IMHO, ANet should adjust waypoint and repair costs so high level players in lowbie zones don't actually lose money by playing there; this would bring the game closer to ANet's promise that the whole game would be the end game.
Apart from that, I like GW2's "end game" way more than what I got from almost all other MMOs I've ever tried (with a few exceptions; for example, I love how I can replay most missions in STO and have them scale to my level.
#1951855 I'm sorry if you got the wrong impression, but we love this game.

I'd just like to take a moment here to say something for the silent majority.
We love this game.
We're having lots of fun.
Yeah, there are some bugs that suck, but for the most part, it's a great way to spend a few hours.
Sorry if you thought we didn't like it, but we do. Sorry if you thought ANet is losing customers left and right, but they aren't. They have us. So whine. Complain and threaten and troll and do whatever you wish. Just know that you are a minority, a hedge case, and just because you don't love this game, doesn't mean we don't.
I'm not saying this game is perfect. I'm saying that I agree with the design decisions and the direction. If you don't, please play something else, because you're going to ruin it for us.

I myself can run it fine on max spare a few things that I just don't feel are unnecessary like vertical sync.
Please don't take my comment as paternalizing or anything like that but I just wanted to give a heads-up and mention that having vertical sync ON is always a good idea because:
1) it is in fact a quality setting (it eliminates the screen tearing effect)
and
2) it also keeps your card from overheating in certain cases, mostly when you have a fast machine that is able to pump 80 or 100fps in certain areas of the game (alone looking at a wall/floor for example). If you have a normal 60hz screen, having the card produce 100 frames in one second will only add to heat since only 60 frames are gonna be displayed in that time anyway. And I noticed several threads where people are seeing considerably high temperatures on their cards while playing so it could be useful to keep this in mind.
just my 2 cents
