#2067249 High res gallery of all greatsword skins

Posted dulfy on 07 November 2012 - 07:42 PM

Hey there, inspired by the people here posting all their awesome screenshots, I decided to compile a high res gallery of all the greatsword skins ingame using ingame screenshots at max settings. I was able to do so for most of the greatswords that are easily acquired. For those that I was unable to acquire, I took some screenshots from here, GW2db and elsewhere on the internet! So far it contains 58 unique skins (i purposely left out the starter greatsword skin and Eternity since it is just twilight and sunrise).

I still can use high res screenshots of the following if anyone have them (the ones I have are not ideal)
  • Dhuumseal
  • Golden Wing Greatsword
  • .Inquest Greatsword
  • Kymswarden
  • Pearl Broadsword
  • Vigil’s Honor Greatsword
  • Volcanus
Anyways, here is the gallery!

Hear hear!

Keep it clean, ya worms!

Guess what tonight is? WIFE IS AT CLASS NIGHT!!!! You are all so dead. So dead. I am going to gank one player from each server (including my own) on each map, then go back and 'Clash of the Titatns' all of your base until you beg me, BEG ME to just win and be done with it. VIVE LA JQ! To me, fellow crybabies, we attack at dinner time! Man the tissue guns, load up the whinebulance, and let take back Camp Quitchabitchin once and for all. JAY KYOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Ahem. Carry on.

#2055520 WvW Tutorial: How to Farm Badges (With Video)

Posted quenta on 01 November 2012 - 05:03 AM

I think of the the biggest things people want out of WvW is the badges, but sometimes they can be hard to come by. This video tutorial show and explains two situations we use to get lots of badges.

*Tower Farming.
*Killing players grouped up in big balls of fail.

JQ been silent the whole thread beyond the usual suspects.  They take a lead on a dead Monday (during an in-game holiday no less) and there is no shortage of chest thumping now.

Funny thing, if you look at the scores, JQ is bleeding rating for this pitiful lead.

Jade Quarry Current Rating: 2292
Jade Quarry Next Rating: 2181

A win to be proud of for sure!

PS: SBI could you stack into tighter packs when you raid a tower, it takes way to long for my Ballista to kill you compared to that "other" server when you get all tactical and spread out.

Good job sherlock, you just figured out the modus operandi for every server in the history of server vs server pvp. When losing there isn't much chattter and when winning there is chest thumping. You really should win a medal for this discovery, i'm glad we have your crack team on this case.

Regarding the score, it was expected to go down after the landslide victory last match. In order to keep that score JQ would have had to win by a few hundres thousand points again which isn't really expected unless the other servers give up.

#1851544 Guild Wars 2 status - Thursday, August 30

I have an idea to pitch to the good folks at ANet.  There is a gray area where you don't essentially rob the customer of $60 for exploiting a programming mistake you made.  Between 72 hour suspensions and account termination; you could just wipe their accounts like you did for Betas and pre-launch.
Save termination for repeated racism in spite of warnings and illegal activity.  72 hours for profanity, bad language, and taking light advantage of an exploit.

Do account-wipes for people who do massive exploitation.  The best part about that idea, is the punishment fits the crime.  You take the items out of their account, and wipe their progress.  They learn the lesson and you haven't essentially punished the customer for a mistake your developers made.

Of course if they go right back and do it again ban them.  This heavy hand with banning...I understand it when it comes to gold traders.  A zero tolerance policy and vigilance is a great way to stop it before it starts.  Yet some of the other bans I've been hearing about...it's making honest players nervous and an environment of oppression and fear is not going to nurture the type of community you want.
