That being said, I did farm UW and FoW.
Was is repetitive? Yes.
Was it more interesting/fun than GW2 PvE? Yes.
There was a sense of accomplishment when you finished UW, defeated Dhuum and opened chest.
Everyone worked as a team, everyone had their role, you had to rely on your team mates, if they fail, the whole team fails.
Not to mention, players were much more social in GW1 than in GW2. People actually used the team chat, much , much more often.
When I got bored with PvE, I usually played PvP - AB/RA with some gimmicky builds, like Ranger Elementalist or Obi Tank Ele stalling the whole game for more than 10 minutes.
In GW2? There's no customization whatsoever. Its shallow, too easy, too casual, lacking depth.
In all honestly, I have no idea what keeps me playing GW2.
If it was named Elder Dragons or something, I would have NEVER bought this game.

I'm more the Ebonblade or Vanguard GS type of person ...
My victory token is still gathering dust in my bank. Can you salvage those for ectos?

#2119229 why so much negativity

Anyway, it's not fair to lump everyone who has issues with the game in the same boat as the ones who have NOTHING but hate against the game. I've had my fair share of run ins with a few people who do nothing but make up every little thing bad and wrong about the game. Heck, I was considered a fanboi.
But just because some people have serious issues with some recent changes does not make them "negative" or "horrible". That type of categorization makes some of you just as bad as the typical crappy community that you're bashing because you can't seem to be able to differentiate between criticism and just plain trolling negativity. I've seen a few here who are SO pro GW2 that they have to defend against every single criticism as though the game is completely perfect. That's just as bad as the constantly negative posters here.
It's threads like these that helps create a hostile environment for anyone who wants to make constructive criticisms so all that's left is hostility and hyperbole. There's already too much negativity out there, why alienate those who actually like the game but have some issues with it?

What about people that doesn't know the reward before he finish his cool and fun event, after he struggle for 1h he is poorer then before
Exploring is the most nerfed "profession" in GW2, doing dungeons instead of 100% world is 10000 times more rewarding.
Still at this subject, is the only game I know where killing veterans and champions doesn't worth the time, last 4 champions I beat dropped less items (actually 0 items, just trophies) then the regular mobs around them.

When a person leaves GW2 for over a month, coming back to changes and being behind is annoying. If they were not satisfied with the game to begin with, they will leave again.
GW2 has to keep people playing just as much as a normal MMO. This idea that people will come and go because of no subscriptions just doesn't cut it when new content occurs and people get left behind.

- New exclusive holiday skins from Black Lion Chests
- Additional ways to acquire new ascended items through mystic forge (requires 50 ectos, ofc) and as random drops from dragon chests (0.001%)
- Ascended mystic awesome stones available from the gem store that greatly increase your chances of getting ascended items out of the forge (oh, of course you're not guaranteed these new items! That would just be silly!) Zommoros loves stones! mmm, stones.
- More awesome adventures with Destiny's Edge and Trahearne await you in all-new dungeons locked behind bugged events. Just in case you didn't get enough of Logan's butthurt in the first place!
- Added New kind of boosts to the gem store, such as salvaging booster and gathering booster.
- Added more town clothes and costumes. Put your costumes to good use in paid costume brawl tournaments that you can enter using tournament tickets and win exciting prizes (such as Kill Streak Exp boosters, Black Lion logging axes and Black Lion Keys to open more chests for more town clothes!)
- Character advancement past level 80. You can craft charms from karka shells, ectos and 250 t6 fine crafting materials that you can carry in your inventory for a small stat boost.
- More epic one-time events so people can
- Mounts (and flying ones too). See Tyria from above for the first time! Mounts don't increase your character's power and aren't useable in WvW or sPvP so it's okay to sell these in the gem store.
- Player housing in your home instance. Embark on a thrilling journey to build your own home! Gather ancient wood planks, orichalcum ore, and other structural materials, like globs of ectoplasm to glue it all together. Keeping to our philosophy of catering to players from all walks of life, we are also adding an option to take out a mortgage from Black Lion Trading Company, which will automatically take gold from your bank for the next 25 years.

Wait, are you saying WoW is dead? I might be wrong here so feel free to point that out, but if you are indeed saying wow is "dead" that is one of the most laughable things I heard today...

That's got to be some kind of first.
OP: If you're talking about people like me, we never wanted endgame in particular. We wanted a power plateau. The power plateau has absolutely nothing at all to do with an end game. Saying that a power plateau is like endgame is like saying all of a Grand Theft Auto game from the moment you turn it on is endgame, when it clearly isn't.
We don't want a game where the outcome is constantly decided by stats, and where you win or lose because of your numbers, rather than because of your skill. That leads to a game where you grind for gear in order to win, because bigger numbers equal victory. What that means is that you're grinding for victory; Which is more commonly known as time > skill.
