As far as I know, you receive some sort of message along the lines of "You've been banned", if you actually do get banned, so I doubt it's the case for me. Thank you for the answer, by the way, although I'm still not entirely sure about everything.
I kept on digging, and it turns out the error I get while I log onto the game means that I was right:'Error 122 means your account has been disabled, possibly for being fraudulently purchased by an unauthorized vendor. Please contact the source of the purchase for more information.
My presumption about the CD key was right, but I am still unaware whether I will be able to reactivate my account, by using a new CD key, and, more importantly, whether I will actually keep all of my characters (since this is actually more important to me right now). Any more ideas? Anyone that experienced a similar situation?
