So now the gear system looks more like this:
exotics: 1-7 days to get them all
ascendant: 1-x weeks
legendary: several months
In addition to that, you need to keep in mind that the population that's active on the forums is only a small percentage of the actual population that plays the game. While many people were complaining about this, many of which didn't even know or understood the full story, a large number were happy playing the game.

I own a business, had a job years ago after i graduated college. And what is this NOW generation you speak of? It seems to me, you are referring to yourself. I'm gonna guess but most of us here are mid 20s and way older even, you are talking to the people that experienced the glory of NES, SNES, GB, PS and the likes. Back in the day, we were so excited when someone discovered a secret warp in mario and we couldnt wait to get home and play to check it out. It's the same as this, we are not worked up over a newly released game. We are excited to play a game we love, plain and simple. Playing games is our wealth, same as our family, our friends. You wouldnt know that feeling because you're not a gamer, you're just someone who plays games.

I plan on starting out with GW2 playing on my own, no guild. I'd partake in WvWvW every once in a while, probably more often than not at max level. Is there any love in WvWvW for guildless players? Or does everyone look at them(and look down at them) and say "what a noob, don't even bother rezzing him...hes not part of a guild/allience?"
Hopefully down the road I'll find a guild to call home.
Often when I see a person around that seems to be alone and we are under 5 people in our party, I ask them if they would like to party and help out with objectives. I find that a group of 5 can be highly competitive and succeed with objectives. It's also a ton of fun taking things on as a group of that size. I prefer it to zergs.

I actually never recognized the concept of a main. People talk a lot about main in MMO's, but it never really worked for me. I don't stick to a specific character, I love them all, and I switch them around.

I personally decided to go Warrior in PvE and Thief in PvP. Mostly because it fits well with the synergy of my friends choices.

i will exhaust the content of the starter zone
of whatever race i am playing
then move on to the next zone for my level
but if i feel i am not adequately leveled
i will visit the asura and charr starters
to gain the needed additional levels
of course i will visit all racial starters eventually
in order to get the extra skill points
I thought you had written a poem for a second then, then was disappointed

There's a lvl 24 champion fight in there, some lvl 22 veteran ettins and various other lvl 22-23-24 mobs.
There are some highlight timestamps in the description.

I use a razed naga, but after doing normal skills 1-5, heal 6, utility 7-9, elite 0, you only get two more buttons for the 4 F skills. Help my hands!
My key bindings are actually a bit more complex as I shifted movement keys around, but here is what I'd do in your case.
1. put f1-4 on 1-4
2. switch razor naga to Num (there is a switch at the bottom of the razer naga.
3. put the old 1-4 on NUM1-4.

I'll just play all three for a while I guess until I finally decide. Thankfully there's no pressure at all in this game to level quickly; in fact if anything the game mechanics encourage you to take your time and just 'adventure', something I haven't really done in an MMO since FFXI.
