In Topic: [Living Story SPOILER] I might have found the pax announcement.

According to a chart published in the Rpgcodex they expect 4.5 times increased revenue for this year's 3Q. I don't think they can get that kind of extra revenue from the gemshop. An expasion seams the most likely answer.

In Topic: Best profession for free role in our dungeon group

If you guys are casual gamers just having fun any class works seriously, in GW2 all classes can do DPS and heal/protect/buff in some way, not saying they are exactly the same but your group is already properly balanced so you are prety much free to chose whatever you like more.
If you are speed clearing and stacking in corners like most people is doing nowadays then AoE dps rules so you are prety much stuck with eles, warriors and guards for reflects and aegis, not saying other classes don't work but they are subpar or at least were when I stoped playing 2 months ago, but I doubt things have changed much in that regard.

In Topic: Megaservers or not Megaservers?

As a casual player in a mostly dead guild but with altoholic tendencies nonetheless, the megaserver has only been positive for me. Many dynamic events in previously underpopulated zones that I had to skip in the past because they were not easily completable solo I've been able to do because there has been enough players nearby to finish them. I realize the issues that can occur with large guilds not being able to get into the same instance, but paradoxically as a mostly lone wolf, I am enjoying the game more because there are more people around me to help me finish content.

Exactly that is what Anet intended and in retrospective the megaserver is the greatest succes of the feature patch. That doen't mean it's free of drawbacks, nothing is, but all in all a feature designed to improve open world that improves open world in 95% + cases is good.

In Topic: Best ranged class after upcoming update

Yeah rangers are great for open world, spec as bearbow, and let your immortal bear tank while you pew pew from range, mobs love bear too so no trouble having it keeping aggro.

That said bearbow spec teaches rangers to play that special way that has made them the most despissed profession in GW2 to the point that when I ever try to play my ranger ina  dungeon I get kicked out most of the time despite being an experienced player.

PS: Zerg feasts do not apply, your pet, any pet, will get insta stomped by zerg bosses.

1. Never - and i mean NEVER - use exotics for getting ur precursor but use rares instead.

I think you haven't got that one right.

If you drop 4 exotics you have an small chance for a precursor, I've seen different values ranging from 1 to 0.2% chance.
If you drop 4 rares you have an 80% chance to get a rare that will not be a precursor, if you get on the lucky side and it's an exotic you have a 1-0.2% chance that it is a precursor.
So yeah more precursors drop from exotics than rares.

That said the mystic toilet is a misterious, all I say is based in speculation by people who have experimented extensively with it and what they shared, but I don't know anything.
