I'm currently playing on an Asus laptop that's almost two years old - it's put up with some major abuse due to the amount of time I spend on it for school and gaming. I struggle to run WvW even on auto-detect settings (which are all low-medium). I play games ranging from browser-based games to GW2, WoW, LoL, etc etc.
I'm currently looking at the Asus Essentio with 12GB Memory and a 1TB hard drive. It's within my price range (preferably $600 but maybe up to $700 if it's worth the money - I need it to last as long as possible). However, I've heard a lot of iffy stuff about AMD's CPUs and from experience, I think I prefer Intel.
There's an identical computer with an Intel i5 CPU and 6 GB memory that's somehow more expensive, and the memory is upgradeable.
How do the two compare to each other and other machines out there currently?
I've been looking around (with effort) for basically a day, and those were two that I was familiar with. I'm willing to look at basically anything that's good for gaming and hours of use and anywhere from $600 to roughly $700.
I'd love to build a PC, although I need help with specific products and such to look for. I've been told that parts often don't work, is there anything I should look for when buying them online to make sure I would be able to return them for a) a functioning part or, b ) my money to buy another one?
