So recently I started doing game commentaries. It is quite fun. I even bought some minor upgrades to make it easier like a 1TB HDD and a better CPU cooler. I did a lot of research on how to do this with hardware and with software.

I just played whatever game I had on my STEAM list, which is not a lot, and I picked Metro 2033. I'd do GW2, but I can't really think of anything to do and record that is of interest. GW2 files are also big.. like 4 GB per every 2minutes. Other games is about 4 GB every 3-4minutes.

I also elected to record my dog just laying on my computer desk not caring in the world. Haha. I probably should try to get my doggie more involved.

Can anyone give me some advice ,content or quality wise. (I've moved my mic a bit further from my mouth in the later videos ^^).







Is my doggie cute? =D... Her name is Wah Wah. Well its Hua Hua ("flower flower" in chinese), but Wah Wah is easier to say.

Edit videos in sony vegas
Render as 720p mp4
Open in avidemux
Compress with h264 (rate factor 20)

It was quite fun doing it. I think I got like 39 episodes recorded. Took up about 900GB worth of space actually with raw footage, audio recording, web cam footage, rendered files and compressed files.

Can something this sinister come up?

Let's say you are Guild A. Your guild has recently captured a keep. The keep is under attack by a large force. Your guild calls for help. Guild B, who is on the same server/map as you, decides not to help you.

Why?

So Guild B can come in in a counter attack for the chance to take that keep that Guild A just lost to the enemy. Then, for whatever reason they manage to keep that keep.

I asked Mike Ferguson a question in today's stress test when he was in Jade Quarry WvWvW.

I asked if there is going to be a queue window that shows what position in line you are for WvWvW. Having this simple info would make waiting for WvWvW less frustrating.

He said no such thing will be added because it is misleading or something. I didn't particularly understand how is it misleading. I didn't follow  up to ask him why, since he probably is getting a ton of questions or suggestions XD...

I had so much fun doing this. I find a ledge (plenty of those at esteron hill keep) and I lure 1-2 enemy at a time. I lure them to the ledge and position myself against a wall.

Then I use my ranger's long bow skill that does knockback. I shoot the bad guys off the ledge and tall cliff and they go splat at the bottom. LOL. I did it to 6 people within 10minutes.

Too  bad I dont get exp or loot from their falling deaths. Usually they can't be revived because no one is at the bottom of cliff. So I effectively remove opponents from the battlefield for at least 5-10minutse or however long it takes for them to walk.

Eventually some of them caught on and tried knock me off. Knocked me off from one ledge to another where I didn't have line of fire to retaliate so I died.

It is a very good way to escape stronger opponents. When I run, I go for the nearest ledge and I shoot them off hte ledge. Usually they die or I'm long gone when they climb back up.

I've been lurking around forums since I've preordered GW2 two weeks ago.
