I've been trying to find the answer to this but thus far my searches haven't turned up anything concrete. I know this achievement is plagued with all sorts of bugs like logging out, and switching zones forcing you to start all over again, but I was curious if anyone knew if the character you were attempting this on requires that typing "/deaths" comes up with 0 deaths or if simply accruing 500,000 experience since your last death still completes this achievement.
