you cant blame ArenaNet for your disappointment.

Dynamic Events should have been ground breaking and innovative. They are neither. Do I even need to get started on these? It's common knowledge just how much they suck.
Dungeons. Are there ANY well thought mechanics that make them even remotely fun? It's just same old, same old, boredom to 101 and back. Non inventive boss fights etc.
Hearts? Gah...
Crafting? :/
And so on and so on. Nothing was advertised in the way anyone could even dream of how disappointing this game is gonna be.

Good sir,
I am kindly asking to make up your mind. You are trolling every topic of this forum telling how you dislike it. To be honest I think your wasting your own time and my time. Either decide to give GW2 an honest change or jsut leave and go away. We all know your opinion no reason to keep expressing it over and over cause your sounding like a baby that's on auto-repeat saying ' I want candy, I want candy, etc, etc, etc.'
Yeah you dislike the game. do you really think I want to hear you say that for another million times?? pls move along and goodby!

Maybe if we are lucky in 2013 they can take out character customization because some people feel a larger chin is OP. LOL...I mean that in a comical sense...not trying to be a poopy face.
Ahh, sweeping statements make you look a little obtuse my friend. He didn't say mounts in an MMO don't work, he said mounts in THIS MMO aren't needed. The year is irrelevant. The game is designed around the lack of mounts.
Which is to say WvW is balanced around player movement. Map sizes. Quest length. etc etc. To combat difficulties in GETTING TO CONTENT you have an instant map travel feature.
Would you prefer to run to the next zone on a mount, or take a five minute griffon... or get there instantly?
So if there's no travel advantage, enough gold sinks, and game modes that depend on travel time, then why would they add them to this game?

There are some PoIs/Vistas that as they are right now, are built so that you have to fight your way there in order to get them. If you had mounts, you would completely bypass the reason those mobs are there in the first place.
They reduce the difficulty of the jumping puzzles, as what was once a difficult jump could easily be done with a mount.
Furthermore, this specifically deals with flying mounts, it completely ruins the idea of scale. If you go to Divinity's Reach, you marvel in awe of all the huge structures, and the entire world Anet has created. With flying mounts, you fly over it, and it's just this random circle in the middle of the map.
This world is designed around walking/running.
Furthermore we've had this discussion going for over 2 YEARS. I can't imagine anything that's going to be said won't have already been said in the other thread.

Grind has become a synonym for Earn or Work For by many posters.
Personally i'm loving GW2. I've played many, many MMOs; this one does so much right I can forgive the bugs, issues and the handful of rough edges.
The best bit? There's still a ton of stuff to come from Anet!

I am surprised so many people have a complete lack of understanding for internet and account security, and put themselves in a place for their account to already be compromised a week into release.
I'm not surprised people are complaining about the "grind" to get gear, people want things handed to them and don't want to work for it. Just victim's of today's handout generation.
I am surprised that people are acting like ArenaNet lied to everyone and said there would be ZERO gear grind, and that these same people can't relate sPvP and tPvP full max stat gear to being horizontal pvp "progression". Dumb assumption...
I'm also surprised people are complaining that the market takes a large chunk when selling gems, and that they're furious they can't "play the market" to make money...and I've already been told "anyone who read the blogs and followed them blah blah blah had the impression we could!". Wrong. You made an assumption, that wasn't factual, and now you're upset you can't treat a fictional marketplace like the stock market.
And I'm always surprised at the new things people find to complain about...
Edit: dumb typos...
