People who copy-paste builds off the forums/websites and follow the "meta" to a tee are the lowest-skill, bottom-of-the-barrel, absolute trashiest players in the game. Don't listen to them. Play what you enjoy, find a guild that's not full of aforementioned trashy players, and have fun. The best, the top tier, the greatest minds when it comes to guild wars (or any game for that matter) are usually spending a lot of their time developing new strategies and builds.

yes because GW2 is a different game than GW1 and may never be like its predecesor ever again. so you must accept it in that aspect.

No because considering the amount of content we've received in just this first 8 months for free? its naive to think ANet cant add more and more and more features. i mean guild halls and player housing is coming, these things take time.

You're not nearly as eloquent as you think you are. I'm not saying that playing through the GW2 story will fix your grammatical and rhetorical shortcomings, but you may not want to be so averse to any continuing education. Even if you were perfectly eloquent and adept in literary composition, there's always a good reason to seek higher learning.

I heard Anet saying over and over again even pre-launch that they are aiming for GW2 to become an Esport but all I see is words and no action. Many people bought the game based on Anet's words that they are taking PvP seriously and with Esports in mind and now 6 months after launch we are still waiting for the PvP patches that contain what already what the game should had at launch, basic PvP mechanics like proper matchmaking and custom arenas.
There are games that are in Beta that are aiming for Esports too and they already have these features that ANet is gonna release 6 months after launch and even spectator mode and price money for tournaments. Even with all these supports those games might not get the attention that they expect so my question is:
Why Anet is so confident that GW2 is gonna become an Esport since people left the game with a bad taste in their mouth after all the PR about being aimed at Esports and launching without basic PvP mechanics and tools and god knows how long will they take to implement them when other games have put all their effort into that and still didn't make it?
I love the game but I just don't see the potential in here when most people left the PvP scene disappointed with it.

They said from the very beginning that lvl 80 would not be the highest level always, so it's not really a surprise. It's just when they do it and how they pull it off that matters

wow you guys can complain about anything... honestly you wanted to get a set of gear and never have opportunities for new gear ever? The only thing that needs to be balanced is sPvP and it as far as i know it is.
This ascended thing was blown way out of proportion and now people here are just moving onto a new thing to complain about , its like fox news the day after an election
