The above post touched on a lot of things I agree with.

The thing Daoc did the best was it made you WANT to fight in the realm war for your side, you needed no rewards. It was called pride.

First problem, no one has their own lands to defend. Yes you get "assigned" these zones every match flip, but they are never really "yours." You are just using them for now. The problem is this server vs server crap, no one can ever have their own lands unless Anet made specific lands for each server...not going to happen. So who cares if you take my crap? Same with the 1/3 of the map you are assigned in EB, who cares? I don't care about this piece of brick and mortar, doesn't really belong to me. In Daoc you cared if the enemy was in your lands, you wanted to kick their arse to get them out. It was a pride thing. You didn't need rewards.

Personally I don't need rewards to pvp if it is FUN to take part in. This zergfest crap taking keeps in 3 minutes seriously sucks.

There are a lot of things that irritate the shit out of me in the world.

Not good enough? Here's my anecdotal evidence: I get worse drops when I have MF on, thus, MF actually produces worse drops.

Now, onto the topic at hand:
I'm wearing 5 pirate and 1 noble rune on my nec atm, mostly for the reason that I just didn't really know which runes to put on at the time, and so I went with something generic. I have +60% magic find, and despite my investment into it, I would like permanent sources of magic find(Any magic find on equipment) removed from the game.
Why? Because as it was put quite brilliantly before in another thread: it gives increased rewards for less contribution.
Yes, skill is the dealbreaker when there's a large skill gap, but when there isn't it comes down to people with magic find are contributing less and gaining more, and while it's not a terribly huge difference, it's the principle of this that is awful.
GW2's loot system is designed to make sure that you get credit if you contribute, and you only get credit if you contribute significantly. Everyone gets approximately the same drops, everyone who contributes gets a reward scaling to how much they contributed, and magic find slaps all of that in the face.
It's the same reason we don't have magic find trait lines, or traits related to drops.

If Anet had been truthful pior to release and mentioned that jumping puzzles, especially ones with kiddie themes, would be a major focus of all future 'new' content, I would have never given them my $60.

Yes now it can be said, the primary achievement of GW2 is the replacement of good MMO content with cheesy jumping puzzles.

What an utter waste.

Exactly this. I am going to refrain from calling OP a moron even though the title does fit snugly. Well, I suppose if I have to be on topic...

I hate people like OP who are obviously noobs that infect this game, crying about how hard this or that is, how hard that is WAAAAA WAAAAA. Also people with bad grammar. I actually wish there were more bosses like Kohler that will demolish you if you are not careful. In fact, I find Kohler one of the easiest ones because the animation is so obvious and the cast time is so long. Compared to What the Arch-Divine in fractal sometimes do, it is VERY VERY easy to dodge out of, and you can see it very obviously. Oh yeah, you don't even need to dodge. Just grab stability or some other kind of invuln and you can start picking your nose. Not to mention if you do get dragged in by Kohler you have a second or two to get out with a stun-breaker, unlike straight where mobs actually hits you once and you die instantly.

Anyways, back to what I was saying. I hate whiners like OP that force ANet to dumb down encounters to WoW levels. I want a game that is hard and challenging. I'm constantly reminded when reading of posts like this that WoW actually has tutorials for NOT STANDING IN FIRE and STAYING UNDERWATER TOO LONG DROWNS YOU and just /facepalm. Morons, those (these) kinds of people.
