In Topic: Which MMO will you all be going to now?

I'm done with MMO's completely besides Elder Scrolls Online since I've been playing the series since 2002 and the new video for the game looked amazing. After that game I don't see myself ever going back to MMO's, only getting ES:O because of what the series means to me, lore, etc. Truth is MMO's are just too much of a time consumer so I will go back to playing FPS games mostly with some single-player RPG's every once in awhile as I feel I can relaxe a lot more and not have to stress about getting things in x amount of time.

They aren't compromised. You also don't need more then 1 email if you're smart, as that 1 email wouldn't be compromised if you're smart. Telling people to create a seperate email account is just them babysitting you on your own issues, isn't that what you want anyway?

They made sure were safe on their end, they can't make individuals be safe. When people accept the TOS/EULA they agree they are above a certain age, they need to accept the maturity of that age and start acting like it. That means educate yourself and ensure your safety, don't expect someone to do that job for you.

He's right as much as someone thinks they didn't do anything, they did. I know because I've been that person taking accounts on other games, often by just befriending someone, getting their info, then social engineering support into thinking I'm the owner of the account. There are many, many, different ways, and some could be so obscure or far back in your memory you don't realize that's how it happend so you automaticaly say "not my fault, Anet!'. Their DB wasn't compromised, and if it was they would have a legal obligation to inform you.

I also agree that hacked accounts shouldn't be prioritized more then any other ticket. I also don't think it's 'outrageous' that they don't have any authenticators, it's not their job to babysit you on your own security. No other games, websites, accounts have authenticators then MMO's that are important, I don't see all those customers complaining. Instead of worrying about authenticators think about how you use the internet, in the end the only persons responsibilitiy for you is your own (or legal guardians, which doesn't apply in this situation).

Before I get flamed a bunch, I'm not exactly proud of what I've done in the past, nor do I still do it.
