Gold sinks are a part of all MMOs, period. Gold sinks are mainly used for convience perks. Don't like the cost of waypoints? Don't use them. Don't want to pay 10g for a 20 slot bag? Don't get a 20 slot bag. There are more examples, but I am too lazy to type them out. Some are mandatory, such as repairs and respec costs.

But seriously, all of this discussion over a 3s50c respec cost? I could roll my face across the keyboard for 5 min and be 3s richer by the end. I also really don't see how a negligible recpec cost "discourages build diversity". I would argue the exact oppisite, the respec cost is so low that it encourages people to respec a lot.

This may or may not be the case, but it really just sounds like you are trying to find something to complain about. There are things that need to be fixed in this game, and respec costs are not even close to being one of them.

I like it. As long as the people in the, lets call it "overflow borderlands" have priority to get into the real WvW (real meaning the points count towards the total). Then people would be cycled into the overflow, then into the real. What if all 3 servers needed an overflow, but the 3rd server has to join late? Just reset the overflow map to accomodate the 3rd server? Just wondering what you think.

I like the suggested idea that when the 3 worlds fighting each other have enough people waiting in queue, another borderlands will be created to accomodate them. This would not punish small pop servers as if there are not enough people in the queue, another borderlands will not be created. Everytime the score is accumulated, the game would check to see if there are still enough people to maintain the extra borderland. Yes, it might suck if you got into a borderlands that was closed for lack of players, but isn't that at least a little better than sitting in a queue doing nothing?

Just a thought.

As far as I know, % damage increases do NOT apply to conditions.

I love idea of this poll, I have just been trying to decide how accurate it is. The guild I am currently in wants to be on a medium pop server. We are slated to roll on Henge of Denravi, which right now is hovering around the 4th or 5th least populated (US) according to this poll. I guess my question is: do you think this poll is credible enough to base a decision on, like doing a full world change for a guild?

I mean, the poll has almost 13k entries, which is a pretty good amount. Thoughts?
