Honestly I do hope we get Cantha at some point and I think we will, but it's a few years off. Anet have officially said quite a few times now that there is no work being actively done on an expansion at this time. So it stands to reason that any expansions (and I'm sure they will release a proper expansion eventually) is a few years off now. I think it's likely they were just told/decided not to do Cantha at this point in time and that it is a definite possibility later on.

I'm a full time University student who can only play during the weekends, and even then I don't often have time to play anymore, but when I do have time I find that even in just an hour I can get a decent amount done and feel like I've accomplished something.

Obviously the more time you can sink into the game the more you can get done, but in terms of general gameplay it is very casual friendly.

If you like exploring and mapping then it's great, you can work through it at your own pace and playing casually can actually help you to see a lot more content than people who just rush through the areas.

The personal story missions are usually pretty short (there are a couple longer ones, but only like 1 or 2) so you generally don't have to worry about being stuck at the computer for an hour which is always great.

Dungeons are the only thing you might struggle with, but even then if you have 1-2 hours and can get a group together quickly you should be able to get through a dungeon easily.

I did have a lol, one of the first things I noticed was that the Necromancer icon in the character creation screen had been changed.

I would be a little disappointed if this is the reason they removed the Canthan section of DR/aren't currently producing a Cantha expansion. But considering how quickly GW1 tanked in Asian markets I don't really expect GW2 to fare much better. Western audiences don't tend to like Eastern games and vice versa. The difference in culture does lead to people wanting and expecting different things out of the game.
I will however be really curious to see how GW2 does in China, and if it does do well it certainly wouldn't be an entirely negative thing. If Anet is earning more money then they will be able to produce more content

Actually I've noticed that since the Flame and Frost updates loading times have been MUCH MUCH shorter.
This is coming from someone who has been forced to wait around 2 minutes to load into LA, it now takes maybe 30 seconds. (Playing on a laptop with not amazing internet because I live in a rural area)

If you aren't having to wait for longer than a minute I don't see why you should complain. Stand up and stretch your legs. Get a glass of water, meditate, do something conducive to good health.
