#2183993 True Evolution or Intelligent Design?

I do not wish to discuss real world theories. But relating by example possibly and using words (because language is limited) that relate to said theories might be necessary for the discussion. I want to emphasize that the OP is not a discussion of Darwin vs God.
As far as the Pale Tree not choosing the look of Sylvari I disagree. Other plant forms that already existed such as Oakhearts might have been a better choice for survivability. I would guess that it was a game designer decision because straying too far from a bipedal sapienish character would be ilreceived by players. But in a strictly game/lore discussion discounting meta game the design seems purposefully chosen.
I think the Charr might be a good example of evolution. Their biology is not enherently given to bipedal movement thus the regression to quadruped for running. An excellent character design for flavor meta speaking. But also showing transition element potential. More history would be needed.

Question 2: Name a game similar to GW2.
I'm guaranteed you can answer Question 2 faster than #1 because there was, possible is, no game similar to GW1.
Yet ANet swore GW2 would be the game different from the other MMOs out there...

What I meant is that when running through a zone it will feel smaller, e.g. when you're completing a zone and typically just run between sections.

They can simply not allow mounting in cities, there's no need for it and everyone walking around in a city is much more immersive than mount piles (or MOUNTains lolol) on the mailbox.

You shouldn't need to host your name on screen if you already know what you've accomplished. It's incredibly shallow and insecure notion to "need" or want this. The game is already very visual in that you can see those who are more accomplished than others, just by armor and weapons they have. If you don't feel any satisfaction from your accomplishments unless you have your name plastered on it then you have some serious emotional issues. There are plenty of people who do great things and never get any acknowledgment, nor do they need it to be happy.
You clearly don't know what false pride is. Self-targetting would only help those who want to see their own achievements. Said achievements can already be seen by everyone else. If you're going to spew such idiotic vitriol at least make sure you understand the terms you ask people to look up.

I guess every armor you are wearing should look the same to you too then. We could also have standardized character models, because only other people need to see your "real" character. Also, the player wielding a Legendary should of course only see a starter weapon, it would save FPS and there's really no point in seeing the Legendary since you already know you have it right?

And nah, no benevolent dragon. It'll be revealed that Kuunavang was the Six Gods' attempt at cloning Elder Dragons by infusing Forgotten DNA into the fetus - since the Forgotten had magic which couldn't be corrupted - thus creating a race of draconic supersoldiers, intended to protect the world against the Elder Dragons' rise. But shit hit the fan when the Jade Wind broke out.

Am I wrong in thinking that would actually just prevent green from accruing as many points as they could in an even matchup. Wouldn't this make matches more stale as green would rarely be able to move up a tier from such a disadvantaged position, even when they are ready to move.
Not only that but it would be that much easier for red to just hold out on defense while green and blue fight giving red the ability to sit in a tier longer than maybe they should.
I could be wrong, but I would imagine that would lead to tiers sitting with the same server for an extremely long period of time.

Oh well, at least it provides an endless source of entertainment when I queueu for my Dota 2 game.
MMO's are the only genre where people dedicate thousands of hours to a single game, no wonder they then want to defend it no matter what.
I do believe, soccer/american football fans are worse though.

For crying out loud its Wintersday let's be inclusive. The jumping puzzle at Holloween was too hard for me and so probably is the one here. The music one I just don't understand yet, I have to give it some time.
But so far this game is more expensive than WoW or Rift. I've spent more on gems than a year for eithor of the others.
Personally I'd pick instances. And it's very easy to get a group and the instance isn't even remotely challenging.
