Four other people were doing it. They all had matching gear and stylish swords etc. We got to the twin bosses at the last door (I assume it was last) and we all died and revivied, but no one told me they were just going to the waypoint. WHen I figured it out and followed them, they were all so far ahead of me, when I tried to catch up, everything attacked and killed me repeatedly. That made me very angry at being lured in by people who said I could join their group, then abandoned with no hope of catching up to them. That's not the type of Community I have been used to playing with.
I've been really put off this game now. I've been led to believe, if I don't have a Guild to support me, I'm just fodder for people like the four who did that to me. I don't see anything anywhere about active Guilds on Anvil Rock who will support their players. It's pretty sad.
No offense but it's not fair to expect the majority of players to help you at the drop of a hat. In fact, most will probably treat you hostily if you join pug runs without experience. In this regard transparency is key. Tell them that you don't know exactly what to do and request advice and help. Don't expect it to be given to you.
