I wonder if Anet could find some way to punish groups for taking more than 3 of the same class. Like a reduced drop rate or increased difficulty or something. It would at the very least force groups to bring along some other class besides warriors and a mesmer.

For a bunker build it's great, especially when you pair it up with a focus and the trait that burns foes that you block. If you have symbols last longer or decent boon duration you can get perma regen from the symbol it puts down too. The heal from the auto attack is pretty lame though. I usually switch over to hammer if all the shields are on CD from my mace/focus set.

Yeah...I had a similar thing happen. I wanted to get the TA chest piece for my warrior, but I accidentally clicked on the shoulders instead when I was buying them. It really sucks that Anet won't do restorations on items considering that it's such a commonplace thing in MMO's. People aren't perfect. Heck, even Aion would refund your AP if you bought the wrong piece of PvP gear.

If you're soloing often, then GS is a better option, but if you have a static group you run with, the CC you gain from a hammer is way too good to pass up. It essentially eliminates the ability for someone to kite if you utilize it correctly. Binding Blade really can't compare to Banish, Ring of Warding, and the aoe root hammer gives you.
