Whether we the players were the hero in the storys or not, isn't why the story telling Anet does sucks.
If the people at Anet were good at what they did, we wouldn't have a complete lack of intrest in what we know is just really, pritty fail.
How do they manage to tell their players next to nothing, and still manage to disapoint.. Maybe it's because everything that was said to sell the game was about as far from the truth as you can get. If they just wanted a game their friends and them could play, while posting the idea over the internet that they are actualy working, maybe they should have finished it first, and have some satisfied customers.
Apparently I bought a game that was purly made to make money and give a bunch of morons a job and a game to play. I wouldn't mind, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't sold as an elite guild only game with consesions for their marketed audience, not that they came close to providing that either.. aside from giving us another un-level playing field and a boring grind.
