If someone is offended then yeah. The person offended should come to you about it first, but not everyone is comfortable contronting someone else. Especially considering how quickly people are willing to ridicule others over the internet. Alternatively, they could just be reporting for the sake of reporting.

Best bet is to just remove cursing and whatnot from your vocabulary while playing GW2. I swear all the time and let highly offensive comments fly without second thought but I turn that stuff off when I'm in the workplace or around my parents (and online gaming) and have been doing so for years. So it comes naturally to me to not let anything fly in GW2. Keeps you safe from bans so it's a good practice.

In Topic: Engineer or Mesmer?

I've been interested in leveling an Engineer and tried once. Didn't like the feel of it early on (made it to late teens) and stopped. Also wanted a Mesmer and rolled one that I also quit. Eventually went back to it after hearing it gets much much better after 40 and it did. I hit 40 last night

Basically, as a non Engineer (and not fully Mesmer) browsing the Engineer forums, neither seemed all that great or fun early on. Mesmer got better at 40 with access to better traits. Can't speak for Engineers though.

Maybe I just need(ed) some better direction on leveling one? I wasn't too fond of running several kits and they felt too weak. Should mention my last encounter with the Engineer class was in November.

According to the OP, his guild is "all but disbanded". Unless OP can rebuild the guild himself, he needs to find a new guild. That's not guild jumping; it's finding a good guild. Or at the very least, finding one that's better suited for him.

It's certainly possible. It's also quite possible that person was lying and throwing out a large number for e-peen's sake.

I love it too. Best part for me is that I can take breaks to play other games and not be wasting part of a sub fee. I didn't have that feeling playing another MMO the past 7ish years and missed out on a lot of games

But not anymore!
