In Topic: Is WvW roaming cantrip D/D ele still viable?

The 0/10/0/30/30 D/D bunker and cantrip build remains one of the more effective ele roaming builds in my opinion.  It keeps up not unreasonable damage output with fairly good survivability.  That and for roaming, dagger is pretty much the only weapon that can consistently maintain pressure on stealth spamming mesmers and thieves that are choking up the queue these days.

Another popular build is S/D or S/F with x/30/x/x/x (personal variant is 0/30/10/20/10) Fresh Air build which relies on crit-procs to swap back and forth from Air attunement and drop instant cast lightning bolts on your target's head.

As a side note though, both Thief and Mesmer when played unselfishly have the ability to grant other classes stealth as an escape mechanism.

Guardian-mesmer is a perfectly viable duo so long as the guardian understands that more often than not you may be left behind.  As for not having escape mechanisms, Guardian CAN be specced to have a near-instantaneous 1800 distance teleport as long as you have a target to teleport to.  It all depends what kind of mesmer (and guardian) you're playing as.  And then there's the point if you're both norns (small chance but there is that) you're never without an escape option as an elite skill.

If mobility is what you're looking for the recent changes to the Warrior class actually make it a pretty good candidate to roam with thief.  Healing Signet provides very surprising sustained healing now and Greatsword or 1h sword are great mobility weapons.  Warriors can setup to do massive amounts of CCs or immobilizes which only helps other burst classes out too.

The 10 Vuln only lasts about 7.5 seconds with no Cond. Duration modifiers.

Just tested on golems in PvP. It stealths you when the arrow hits its last target, regardless of your selected target.

I also just found out you get stealth if you hit an ambient creature. No stealth if you hit nothing, but your pet always gains swiftness regardless.
Thanks for the timely investigation.  I guess the only other thing to check on is the Call of the Wild.  I wonder if Anet checked their cross-programming and made sure that Rune of the Pack procs don't trigger blast finishers.

I'm interested to know how the new Hunter's Shot stealth will interact with Piercing arrows.  Will it stack a long stealth if it pricks multiple people?   Or will it be an instant fail-reveal?
