Did the recent nerf to heals/buffs bother you?

23 November 2012 - 06:38 AM

So, just out of curiosity.. did the recent change to limit the number of allied targets hit by your heals/buffs to 5 bother anyone, or deter them from the Guardian?

PvE/sPvP things are more or less unaffected, but for any WvW players, did the changes bother you? I'm curious as I'm having a personal crisis having ditched my 80 Warrior for my Guardian, and committing to tier 3 cultural armor on it. The main reason for my choice was how supportive the guardian could be, and how a few good guardians could change the tide of a battle in WvW. Whilst the changes were necessary to combat the turtling tactic in WvW, having just completed an 80 set with supportive stats (prec/vit/hp) and a supportive rune set up, I feel like it's been rendered relatively useless.

sPvP vs PvE vs WvW in terms of Lag

20 September 2012 - 02:32 PM

I want to know if this is an Australian thing, or just something that's happening..

PvE. Smooth. Even at the larger scale bosses with 100 odd people. Zero lag, ability delay.

WvW. Pretty much the same.

sPvP. Can be smooth. As soon as I get into combat/near a player. BOOM LAG. As little as 1-2 second delay, can be up to 6 seconds, if not complete lag outs to the point I unlag as dead. Generally even the PvP lobby see's a ~1 sec delay.

Is this happening to everyone? Every Australian? Or what.

For reference sake, I even tried using a tunneling service. What a waste of money that was.

The most infuriating thing is, even during the BWE's or Stress Tests, I was fine. Damn release comes around and it's like I'm trying to play on a 56k dial up.

Too good to pass up, Aussies!

Came across this deal on PCCG. Any aussies looking to upgrade..

HIS ICEQ Turbo 3GB HD7950 on sale for $299. Pretty amazing price.. considering it should handily beat the newly released 660ti in most games that aren't NVIDIA favoured.

Tempted to jump ship on my 570 and snag one ahhhhhhhh. So cheap. Considering it's like what $379 on newegg. AUSTRALIA NEVER HAS THINGS FOR LESS! 2012 is upon us.

[GMT +8] Axiom [HC sPVP]

Hey fellow GW2guru goers! I've been around for a while, and you've probably seen me lurking in the tech corner of the forums! Guild Wars 2 is finally getting closer and closer to release, and now it's crunch time! Our guild is now looking for members and are currently looking for all professions. Hopefully you give this post a read and like what you see! See you around!

Who are we?
Axiom is an oceanic guild that is focused on competetive PvP. The guild is led by a team of experienced gamers who have played a multitude of games to the highest level. Our guild is based in Western Australia in the GMT+8 time zone, and we have a plethora of players from SG, Eastern Australia and the odd American/UK.

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking like-minded individuals to join our ranks. We are after gamers who possess the drive and capacity to play high level PvP and play at the same time as us. Having a history of top tier gaming is generally a prerequisite for joining the guild. This means that you have been among the best of the best, within reason, of your gaming category (PvE achievements included). However, the players matter more to us than the profile. Guild Members are expected to generally act mature and represent the guild in a positive manner. We discourage the following attributes:

  • Being notorious for trash talk, bad manner and dirty play.
  • Inability to take criticism.
  • Being a living example of the dunning-kruger effect.
  • Inability to challenge your own preconceptions.
  • Preferably at least 18 years of age.
We are also after players who will contribute to the guild community. Active play time, banter and collectivism is all encouraged. You can find us and register at http://axiomgw2.enjin.com/! Look forward to receiving many applications!
