In Topic: 30 pts in beast mastery.

I am trying to make a 30 BM and greatsword/shortbow build, but I am clueless when it comes to the armor, skills, and extra traits.

Looking at the traits that help the GS, it looks like it pours a lot of points into toughness and vitality. At this point I enjoy doing different dungeons, and am hoping to do some bounty missions, but these things typically give advantages to straight DPS.

Any thoughts?

I fail to understand the logic. It's a game and you're PREVIEWING, not BUYING it. If I have a char of level 80 and planning on creating a new char, whatever other profession, it would actually be nice to see what armor sets I like even before creating it. I could just buy that armor set and transmute it. Right now? Create another char and either a) go to dulfy or whatever other website to see all armor sets or B) play the game until you reach level 80 and then preview all the armor sets available to your character. What was the harm done to the players with previewing an armor set? I still don't follow the logic behind this. When buying dungeon armor sets, I think you get a window in which you're being asked if you're sure about your purchase. I think it would have been better if they made all armor sets available for previewing, but the only armor set which we could buy would be the one suiting our profession. Grey out the buttons for other armor than the one type I'm wearing, but still allow me to preview whatever I want. That's just lame. Doesn't bother me, but it's still lame.

One thing you can do is just take your character to the sPvP area. In the lobby there is the pvp chest. From there you can preview all the different armor and most weapons, even if you don't have it. It is great for mixing and matching different pieces to find your look. The one thing to be weary of is that the names of the armor is different, but using the wiki you can usually find out what PvP armor maps to in PvE.

Also, if you swim even for a split second, even if it is a pet that can go in the water, you will lose your stack.

Holy crap all that damage from confusion. I don't think the Norn Ice racial will even come close to that.

I'd like to add that "Search and Rescue" will also go heal defeated allies as well. This can be amazing in a dungeon. When someone is completely down, and you can't stand still long enough to get them back up, send your pet to go do it instead.

Also another trick I like to point out is that quickness is amazing for getting people back on their feet. I usually save my pet swap for when I'm rezzing someone that is downed. The heal ends up being twice as fast, so you they either get up quickly or you counter the damage a champ is doing until they agro somewhere else.

Quickness: It isn't just for burst damage.
