Hey everyone,
I've been playing GW since the first weekend, but haven't really settled on a class to play. I started on a Ranger, but felt I was too underpowered. I went to a Necro next, but felt as though I wasn't contributing enough to my party in fractals or dungeons. I then went to guardian and warrior, but felt like the gameplay was too repetitive.
My question for everyone is: which class you you recommend between Engie, Ele and Mesmer?
I want to be powerful enough but not too boring (a la Guard and Warr) in parties, but I also want to be self sufficient and be able to solo effectively.
I will be playing mainly dungeons and fractals, but dabbling in WvW occasionally.
I have heard that Mesmer is a pretty niche class, used only for time warp and portals, and that Eles are too squishy. Any advice?
Thanks!

Current "Best" PvE Build?
04 March 2013 - 12:46 AM
Hey all,
I'm looking for the current meta PvE necro build, for dungeons/fractals etc. I'm currently running S/D and Staff, just wondering if there is a better option out there?
Thanks.

Purpose of Personal Storyline
11 February 2013 - 01:45 AM
I've progressed through the game on a Ranger and completed the main story line, which I found quite boring. I will be creating a new character soon, and I am dreading having to re-live the whole story line again.
Does completing your personal story have any effects on your character in game? Like for example are any areas locked or un-accessible unless you complete your personal story?
Also are dungeons/dungeon rewards available? I imagine that the Order armours won't be unlocked until I compete the personal story (or am I wrong in thinking this?)
Thanks.

Balancing DPS/Survivability Build
25 December 2012 - 09:43 PM
Hey All,
I've crafted this build which I use in the dungeons and fractals. I used to have issues balancing DPS and Survivability, but I think I've come up with a pretty great solution.
This build utilizes the shortbow as your main weapon, with Sword/Warhorn as back up weapon for those times when a buff and evasiveness as necessary.
Gear is quipped with full Rune of the Ranger, and a sigil of force on the shortbow.
The pet I use is a Polar Bear, due to their high health pool and power. However, your pet will act as more of a shield than a weapon, with no traits in the beastmastery line.
Please let me know what you think of the build, try it out for yourself

Staff Viability
17 December 2012 - 06:41 PM
I've been leveling a Mesmer using GS, and I've found it a bit lackluster. I've been looking at Staff as a better option, is this a viable choice for leveling? Also, how do Staves tank for dungeon builds?
Thanks
Thanks
