I'd sort of like to see a survey/poll about what type of armor females pick for there style. I always pick the sexy stuff. One of the best times I had in an MMO was in AoC running around topless in a loincloth with my husband who was wearing the same thing. I would just like to know how odd I am for being straight and dressing my characters the way I do. Sometimes I wonder if I'm being mistaken for a guy playing a female. ::shrug::

I don't really fit for the survey, but I'm going express my thoughts anyway as the subject is very interesting.

I'm a 29 year old female. I don't personally do it, but I have no problem with people that do. I personalize to much with my characters. My first MMO was the original GWs and it became a thing for me to always hunt out the most attractive armor. Growing up, I only played games like Zelda and Final Fantasy so when I was introduced to being able to choose a gender and even customize it, I was so happy. I was so sick of being a teenage boy. And I haven't ever gone back. I want to look pretty, and personalize with my character.

My husband (age 32) on the other hand only plays females. He doesn't personalize with it and would rather see a female's butt on the screen. However, he does not play females in D&D. The decision for him, boils down to realism. He would play a male in a virtual reality MMO, but I don't see that happening any time soon. The technology just isn't there yet and has a long way to go. He does not play GW2, and hasn't played anything for a couple of years. It was so much fun to play with him back in the day. We would hunt down good looking armor together. I think if he played a female in D&D I would be weirded out though.

Finally found one quote. It is so hard to find things when threads get this long. Also, with all the complaints still going on, I figured people must not know. I think the news that they are trying to fix the issue is great personally.

Anet has finally made a response to ease the angry mobs. Actually it was late last night, but it was really hard to find on the official forums since there are over 1000 comments in one thread. And I don't see anyone mentioning it hear, unless I'm blind and missed it; which is quite possible for me to do.

Actually as a straight women, one of the main reasons I didn't play a sylvari (which I originally planned to do) was do to "boobs."  Most of the sylvari females looked like "small boy." I rather have big "boobs" then no "boobs" at all.  And the sylvari that had enough breast size had very bad proportions; the calves were too thick and the feet were too small. And the armor looked very bad on all body proportions.  I had every intention originally to play a sylvari.  I avoid playing humans, and play drow/dark elves or a demon race similar to Tera's castanics. Charr and asura are too in-human for my taste.

As it is, I'm playing humans and some norns  and they all look like drow without the pointy ears. Luckily they have a black enough skin tone for me to look like one.

They could have fixed some of the issues if they had added body sliders in character creation, added more armor variety, and fitted the armor better on the non human races. I feel even the norn doesn't where many armor sets as well as the humans, they just fit second best.
