I think that the big error they make is to put a secondary (and too much strong) stat on zerk set or set it too much higher.
a solution to see new build and new roles should be reduce the power of zerk set reducind the total crit dmg a lot (in relation to the other stat damage increase).

for example a char full zerk now can do 11k burst dmg.
Instead a condition damage can do a costant 1-2k dmg per second after having set a good ammount of stack.

if we start to reduce the zerk damage at 5k we have a veeery better balance and ppl can start to difference the build and the damage of non-zerk/support roles can be reconsider.

in this situation for example we can see vulnerability support necro for dungeon with other support spell to compensate the lack of dps or Caltrops cond dmg assasin with cripple support to block melee mob. This can be interesting scenario.

i make a build similar to this.
i love it, it's based on boon but have the correct balance in damage too.
i mix the boon build with the shatter build.

i equip soldier armor + weap/jewel zerk.
with the bouncing attack the GS 2 bounce 4 time meaning 6-9 stack of might. shattering illusion give 3 stack of might. i can mantain 16-21 stack of might costantly without big combo or swapping weap when in solo

The CoF upper body only when the bug that the texture use either the chest and the pants slot will be removed (yes the upper body change the texture to the lower body).
If this set will not change the pants it will be perfect ( for the light version)

Edit: This definetaly was the case on Eternal Battlegrounds Jumping Puzzle but it seems like it affected the rest too.
